Louise Burke rolled out the Supernova study to look at the impact of low-carb, high-fat diets on endurance athletes. The results on performance/efficiency were underwhelming, and she faced criticism from the LCHF crew. What did she do? She reproduced the study with a higher degree of control/less variation. The result? Still underwhelming. We condemn the killing of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and many others who have needlessly lost their lives, and lend our voi...ces to the chorus demanding an end to racism and calling for change. For us change will first begin at home. Our employees have formed a working group to examine what we must do as an organization to take action. Our goal is to change what we can control in our industry first, with the belief that the effects of that shift will be wide-reaching within the endurance community. One immediate action we are taking is to host a panel at the Endurance Coaching Summit 2020 on empowering diversity and inclusion in endurance sports and coaching. Together with our coaching community, we can help black athletes and coaches thrive in these sports we all love so much, and start to be the change we want to see.

11.01.2022 Yeah numbers are cool...but there is a lot to be said for learning to ride on feel. Ideally mixing it up in training can be super helpful. You don't have to ditch the computer completely but you can omit the data fields that you tend to lean on a bit too much to get a better idea of what a given pace feels like. And hey, it worked for this guy!
