25.01.2022 National Pyjama Day!

24.01.2022 IT HAS BEGUN.. The Christmas spirit has begun as children show interest in reading Christmas related stories and expressing excitement in placing their felt Christmas tree with changeable ornaments :)

23.01.2022 GREAT ADVENTOURS It was a perfect day to go on an adventure around the neighbourhood and into our local park. As we make our way walking down the street, we spot a few interesting scenes including the canal, Christmas decorations on houses, flowers and the big trees! Whilst continuing our walk, we met a lovely neighbour who introduced her dog "Bella". Once we get to the park, it was instant excitement! We find a few tree branches fallen on the grass, even one that looked like "Maui's Fish Hook!" and much more! We concluded the trip by enjoying a picnic under the sun and feeding the birds before making our way back to the centre.

22.01.2022 Our School Readiness Program incorporates a vast range learning focuses to promote a holistic way for our children to prepare for their first year of school. We cover subjects such as numeracy, literacy, biology and geography. These are all incorporated into fun and interesting learning projects, like exploring space, insects and nature. Come join us in our fun learning experiences!

22.01.2022 It sure has begun to look a lot like Christmas! We are all getting into the festive season and creating amazing ornaments along the way. Our sustainability Christmas trees were chosen and collected by our children from last weeks excursion at the park. The trees have been put up, decorated with beautiful baubles, tinsel, paddle pop sticks snowflakes and hand made candy canes using pipe cleaners and beads.

20.01.2022 Another adventure to Miss Maria's 'farm' has sparked up excitement and curiosity amongst the children. We have been talking about this day leading up to the excursion where children were able to visit several chickens, Mother Hen and her baby chicks, which we named one of them "HeyHey". Children were able to collected organic eggs in their baskets along with collecting organic fruits and vegetables including long peppers, cucumbers and peaches! Adding onto the excitement, we couldn't help but notice the "BIG DIGGER" in the yard. Everyone gets a goodie bag containing one green pepper and an egg :)

18.01.2022 Can we wear pyjamas to school forever?! asked a preschooler. We’re extending Pyjama Week this week as an extension of National Pyjama Day. Acknowledging this good cause and raising funds to help children in foster care and making dreams become possible. #NationalPyjamaDay #Childcare #Bexley #GrowingPatchEarlyLearningCentre

10.01.2022 2018 Growing Patch Christmas & Graduation!

09.01.2022 Earlier this week, educators created a 'loose parts' environment consisting of materials which can be combined, redesigned, lined up, taken apart and put back together in multiple ways. This learning encourages creativity, curiosity and desire and more. It's definitely a hit in our 3-5 room! Another exciting occurrence was our child initiated campfire setting! Children gathered sticks through team work and sat in a circle whilst they set a 'fire' alight and roasted mini marshmallow on toothpicks :)

09.01.2022 Join us for our annual Spring Market this September! We call upon anyone who would love to connect with our community. Become a stall holder and have the opportunity to promote or sell any of your products or simply purchase products to support the local community. Any interested applicants, please forward an email located on the flyer for more information. Hope to see you there! :)
