19.01.2022 New measures for NDIS participants and providers. We're going to be working through all of this next week.

18.01.2022 Grow Occupational Therapy was founded because of our belief in the importance of health care services in regional areas. Based in the Sorell region, Grow Occupational Therapy is also the closest occupational therapy provider to the Tasman Peninsula and Spring Bay regions. We knew when we started that providing services to these areas would be challenging. But we didnt know how much of a financial challenge it would be to provide support to those veterans who have supporte...d the nation. For example, to provide a service to a veteran on the Tasman Peninsula we have an approximate 50% loss. We know how important the services are, so we absorb the cost where we can. But it does mean that our other clients share the cost of providing health services to veterans through an inflated rate. In the last month we have had to make a hard decision to increase our standard fee to our other clients so that we can continue to provide this much needed service. We would much prefer that the importance of occupational therapy to veterans, particularly in rural areas, is recognised and appropriately funded. To find out how more about how this affects veterans across the nation and how you can advocate for change, follow the link to OTs for Veterans.
