24.01.2022 It’s Bangalow Farmers Market Day Rosa will see you here soon - you can stock up on olives for Father’ Day

21.01.2022 This little lady seems to love our olives too

19.01.2022 To create Grumpy Grandma’s semi dried olives, our Kalamata olives are pitted, brined, washed and then dried for 20 hours at around 65 degrees. The olives then rest for a further 24 hours before being seasoned with quality Australian ingredients. This results in a soft, melt in your mouth, flavoursome, moreish olive. Our Tuscan Treat olives will have you dreaming of the vista’s of Italy. Herbs like oregano, rosemary and thyme add to the full flavour of this semi dried Kalamata... olive. Add them to a cheese platter or these semi dried olives work especially well sprinkled through a chunky Mediterranean salad. All our semi dried olives can be eaten as a snack on their own - watch out they can be quite addictive! See more here https://www.grumpygrandmas.com.au/new-pro/semi-dried-olives

18.01.2022 Take a read to learn a little more about Grumpy Grandma’s. Thanks to the Echo Publications for this write up. https://www.echo.net.au//the-not-so-grumpy-tim-stone-of-g/

17.01.2022 Lots of lemons around at the moment, perfect for these. https://www.gourmettraveller.com.au//meyer-lemon-and-olive

17.01.2022 Extra Virgin Olive oil (EVOO) is the highest grade of olive oil, naturally extracted from the fruit of the olive tree. This process is done via mechanical pressing without heat or chemicals. As a result, it retains maximal levels of naturally occurring antioxidants from the olive fruit to fight against oxidation and improve heat stability. EVOO is a safe, stable and desirable oil to cook with and is an excellent multi-purpose oil for high temperature cooking including baking, frying and sautéing. Rich in flavour, it’s also great for salad dressings, dipping, drizzling and marinades. Source: https://olivewellnessinstitute.org

13.01.2022 Hope everyone's weekend looks a little like this! De-lish!

13.01.2022 Super useful infographic from the Olive Wellness Institute outlining the differences between Extra Virgin Olive Oil And Virgin Coconut Oil.

05.01.2022 Love collaborating with other great local producers. Thanks for this Warren and team at Local Dorper Lamb. "Our local dorper lamb back strap is sensational. We highly recommend you try cooking it with Grumpy Grandmas lemon myrtle olive oil to infuse an amazing flavour into our lamb during cooking. Both of our stalls are at all the farmers markets so pop and shop directly with your local farmers sometime soon!!" (or online ;-))

03.01.2022 What’s your favourite olive variety? #olivelover

03.01.2022 An interesting read about Australia's growing olive oil industry. Everywhere you go in the world olive oil is for sale at vastly different prices with different flavours and aromas. So I think there is space in the market for lots of small producers. We like to think our olive oil has the fresh sunny taste of Northern NSW.

02.01.2022 Congratulations! Mullumbimby Farmers Market has been named as a national finalist in the Delicious Produce Awards 2020 'Outstanding Farmers Market' category. One of only three farmers markets Australia-wide to make the finals. We love attending Mullum with our olives and oils each week and feel the love from our local regular customers as well as visitors from all over and fellow producers and stallholders. Fingers crossed for the win. #KnowYourProducer delicious. Australia

01.01.2022 See you at the New Brighton Farmers Market in the morning where you never quite know who will pop in for a chat. Thrilled to have Quay Restaurant - Peter Gilmore visit us two weeks ago and purchase our Wood Smoked Olives photo credit to David Holiday
