22.01.2022 Morning All, An update on my post earlier this week.... The Federal Government has updated the deadline for paying your April wages and has granted an extension from the 30th of April to the 8th of May, next Friday. If you thought you were going to miss out on claiming the allowance for April because you had not paid your employees by yesterday, youve got an extra 7 days. Ring your bank and chase them up if you need a bridging facility or overdraft now that you have the extra time. If you need any assistance in applying for the JobKeeper allowance, please let me know. www.growandprosper.com.au #JobKeeper #governmentassistance #COVID-19

18.01.2022 Presenting Take your Accounts to the Next level at the MFAA forum in Penrith. Thanks Elissa Esposito for the invitation .

18.01.2022 #Myoffering With all of the information out there about Federal and State Government support during this time, I thought I would put together a simple infographic to clarify what is available. I havent included changes to apprenticeship subsidies, changes to Long Service Leave provisions, early access to your super or government guaranteed business loans, but if these apply to your business, please contact me for a confidential discussion. Please look through the chart and make sure you are claiming everything you are entitled to at this time.

15.01.2022 Thoughts for 2021 "I created a vision of David in my mind and simply carved away everything that was not David." ~ Michelangelo... I was watching a video posted by Light Watkins this morning on Instagram and he posed this statement about could we achieve our goals not by acquiring more but stripping away everything that no longer fits with our vision of the future? What would that entail? Beliefs and values that no longer serve us, material things or behaviours that may have been ok in the past but no longer fit with our ideal life in the future. I watched it a few times as this simple message really resonated with me, like a puzzle piece just sliding in to place. This year I’ve dealt with weight, literally holding me down and perfection, which holds me back from time to time. I’m currently shedding the kilos to live a healthier and more active life. This weight is holding me back from contributing my energy to my business, family and friends. I will be an aunt again in the new year and I want to be able to push my nephew/niece on the swing for as long as they want to, not until my back insists I sit down. Last year I’ve experimented with action over perfection. Putting myself out there with my first website and now the second one, publishing blogs. Endless finessing and perfecting does not move me forward, action does. I’ve learnt that I need to do things in iterations, based on the feedback I receive from my clients, I will get closer to the mark. They have helped me further understand my strengths and unique selling proposition which has been invaluable to marketing my skills. I’m not fully reformed yet but I didn’t die, it wasn’t catastrophic to just get my offering out there. This year, I’ll be working on my abundance mentality. The belief that there is enough work and prosperity for everyone, including me. Because someone is successful, does not mean I will be less successful as a direct result. My vision for the next six months is to double the turnover of my business. I cannot do this without an abundance mentality. In 2021, what will be your David? Move forward towards that clear vision and just chip away everything that is not, just like Michelangelo did. #grwandprosper #abundancemindset #2021Goal

11.01.2022 Good news regarding enrolling in Jobkeeper 2.0.

08.01.2022 When we argue for our limitations, we get to keep them. Evelyn Waugh At this point in time we all have a big limitation that some may not see a way around, COVID-19. For me, it has led to some of my clients being unable to work with me anymore because they no longer have the cash flow to support my hours. Conversely, some clients are working even closer with me to improve the efficiencies in their business as they execute plans to do business differently. Both groups have c...ash flow challenges, neither have been spared. The second group is making room in their business now to change. I have seen them move forward to implement plans regardless of the current climate. Weve put a forecast and cash flow around this decision, its not blind optimism. I would urge you to carefully examine your current plans and future business direction to see if they couldnt be adapted to the current situation. A friend of mine has an on-site catering business. This business is currently closed with the restrictions that are in place. What she is now doing is short cooking demonstration videos from her kitchen and putting them up on Facebook. They have involved the whole family in some. She has also published an e-book so you can have the recipe and follow along with the video. When you started your business you had a why, a problem you saw that your business addressed and solved. With all of us working from home, that hasnt changed, its only the how. So think on that and see what you come up with. Because, Whether you think you can or think you cant youre probably right Henry Ford. #blogsharing #growth #change

05.01.2022 Will you Grow and Prosper in 2021? As we close out 2020, I hope you are thinking about what’s next. And thinking about what steps you need to get there rather than wishing away the next 8 weekends to Christmas, (yes, there are only 8 according to the news tonight, yikes!). I say this because when we are going through a rough patch, 2020 is the mother of these, it can be easy to wish time away to sometime in the future when we hope things will be better. Are you missing the o...pportunity to focus on those things you never get to because you’re so busy? What could you be doing, you ask? Well, here are some suggestions: Refreshing your website make it looked alive and current. Write articles, share insights and let your potential customers know you’re open for business and how you can help them Build out your range and delivery. Will you offer products online? Share your expertise. Think videos, webinars, templates. People like to do business with people. Build your network You would be amazed at what new opportunities and business comes from having a cup of coffee. Do you want to stop offering a service? Now’s the time to plan how to exit refer your clients to other providers, sell that part of the business, increase your price, automate it if it’s a manual process. And finally, I had to say it, work on your process and procedures! These are a living document. Please find a way to template them so they are quick and painless and a breeze to update. Delegate this to your team, you might find opportunities to increase efficiency as they are writing the process while doing it. KEY TAKEAWAY: 2020 can still be a time where your business moves forward. Take the time now to make it stronger, ready for 2021. Remember, there is no there, there is only here. Use now to full advantage, don’t wish now away. Grow and Prosper is offering an obligation free 30-minute Discovery Session with Sheilana valued at $165 to business owners.
