23.01.2022 In case you had not seen this sad news, Former Lighthouse Keeper, Author and local resident Marlene Levings passed away at May Shaw, Swansea on 19th May. In 2015 ABC did a story on her and her life with the lighthouses of Tasmania: https://www.abc.net.au//marlene-levings-a-life-wit/6968676... Vale Marlene Levings.
21.01.2022 I am pleased to report that after the news of the East Coast Heritage Museum and Visitors Information Centre being reopened, we plan to open the History Society again as from Tuesday 30th June. The COVID-19 Safety Plan for the building allows restricted use of the Society Rooms, with fewer numbers in our Rooms at any one time. Anyone entering will be required to comply with hygiene procedures and practices. Now, all of this is based on current Government COVID restrictions,... should anything change in the meantime, we may have to review our activities again. Peter Huttemeier Secretary
