Kat is safely squatting & deadlifting more than her bodyweight for reps, she can smoothly clean & snatch, & has a solid bench press to boot. For someone that hadn’t lifted weights before, we are blown away by her progress & cant what to see all the great things she’ll accomplish with us!! Possibly one of the funniest humans out there, it’s not enough for this geologist to lift heavy rocks at his day job, he turns up every arvo & lifts heavy stuff with us!! ... What this consistency has brought Chris is a number of PBs in his lifts, increased confidence after strengthening historical problems areas he had like his low back, & big improvements in his physique!! Some nice long working sets right now - up to a minute holding tension in the working muscles with super slow movements. This stuff is tough!! As you will see in this quick snippet from our upper body session, Michaela focuses in on her technique - staying on the prescribed tempo for all her movements, this level of focus means that completing things like pull ups late in the session under fatigue as shown here is something that she does with apparent ease. Whilst there is a definite increase in sass when she comes in for 6am sessions instead of her mornings, & sessions with her sass sisters @alexcoupar & @harriettetait are definitely more of a challenge to coach - we absolutely love having Michaela around!!
