25.01.2022 ** LONG READ ** This purpose of this post is to show and describe what a roof restoration actually consists of. There are far too many con-men out there doing roof restorations with NO qualifications and very limited experience on roofs. I'm going to share a background story which unfortunately I see far too often. Last week i watched on as an interior/exterior painter went on to a roof to paint it. I was working across the road restoring a client's roof. This con-man pretty ...much put 2 coats of paint onto a roof which HADN'T: A) Been washed B) Pointed C) Rebedded D) Had any of its broken tiles replaced. Not only did he paint a roof during 46kpm winds, but he also missed many spots which were noticeably visible from across the road where I was working. I also witnessed him splatter paint over the homeowner's WHITE gutters. After my 4th day working at my client's house, the gentleman across the road approached me and asked me about the services I provide, as he also felt like he was being lied to and ripped off. I've certainly never posted anything like this and I'm definitely not here to name and shame, but all i ask is that you hire someone who is QUALIFIED to do your roof, or any other trade for that matter. Some handy things to look out for: They are ABN registered They are fully insured Ask friends, family, neighbours or colleagues for referrals Read through their reviews before putting your trust in them Any full roof restoration will take longer than 1 day And lastly, remember that the cheapest quote isn't always the best option. Always look into a few quotes If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is Work included on this job: Replaced 74 broken tiles Replaced valley irons Replaced timber gables with blueboard Re-bed and Flexiable point ridge caps High pressure clean of roof tiles and gutters One coat of sealer Two coats of paint This job was done at Mid Feb and took 4.5 days roughly. 20.01.2022 And bang. Put the finishing touch on another beautiful home in campbellfield yesterday. Its incredible what a difference restoring your roof can do. This roof got the full package valley replacement with dry valley(same style as new homes) full rebed and point... high preasure clean 1 coat of sealer 2 coats of charcoal. Happy easter to all and stay safe over the long weekend

02.01.2022 What a day it was today not to hot nor to cold. If only Melbourne was like this every day. It was Perfect weather for roofing. Got this one sprayed today just before the rains set it. We will be on call for late night roof leaks over the next few days, as well as any other roofing matter throughout these hard times.
