22.01.2022 We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support the WAFC Metro Central Conference in delivering positive game day environments throughout our junior commu...nity football competitions. As a volunteer you will have the opportunity to meet new people as well as exposing yourself to the football industry. If you have a keen interest in AFL with good communication and people skills, we are keen to hear from you. Our volunteers will support us by attending junior football games from April to September on Friday evenings, Saturday mornings and Sundays across the East Perth, Perth and Swans District regions. 11.01.2022 IMPORTANT HEALTH INFORMATION ATTN: WA Football Community Please share and promote the following information relating to COVID-19 from the WAFC.

10.01.2022 Last night was Round 1 of the NAB AFL Draft - and it's incredible to see the path of some of the Draftees from NAB AFL Auskickers to the stars they are now! Swi...pe through to see some of the draftees as Auskickers, and now, including: Pick 1 Matthew Rowell who is now heading to the Gold Coast Suns, Pick 2 Noah Anderson who is also heading to Gold Coast Suns and Pick 6 Fischer McAsey who is heading to Adelaide Football Club. Looking back on his time at Auskick, Matt said his fondest memory was the walk to Auskick on the weekend with his dad where they kicked the footy while they walked. Noah said that the best lesson he learnt at Auskick was to watch the ball onto your foot as you kick. For Fischer, what he loved most about Auskick was being able to play a sport as a group with good mates for the first time. This is such a special time, and we wish all of the new draftees all the best in their AFL careers

10.01.2022 To celebrate the return of footy, NAB are on the search for 22 footy loving kids (aged 5 12) to be interviewed by Hamish McLachlan during 7AFL's broadcast.... To enter, simply head to nab.com.au/auskick and upload a short video showing us your #NABAFLAuskick at Home skills. Good luck!

04.01.2022 Junior football update: Hi all, I trust that you have been safe and well throughout the postponement period and I am sure that you are looking forward to training soon.... The club is still waiting for confirmation from Guildford Grammar as to when our training facilities will become available. Our understanding is that the current government advice does not allow parents on the school premises. This significantly impacts our current training model and as such are unable to begin training at this time. We are communicating with the school and SDFDC to ensure that we are moving forward within the required guidelines. We ask our coaches and players to remain patient and for everyone that is training off-site to ensure you continue to observe the latest State Government Covid-19 Guidelines. We are hopeful to start training soon, however when it does return, things will of course be very different. There will be a number of additional protocols that we will need to implement as a club to keep our members and the community safe from the impacts of Covid-19. These will be communicated in time before training resumes. Of course training is one thing, but the big question is of course when will competitions will resume. This will depend on a number of things. The most significant being the lifting of restrictions from Government that allow contact sport to resume. With the outlook currently quite positive in that regard, there will still be a number of other operational challenges that will need to be addressed to meet COVID protocols. A lot of this work is already in place and as soon as news about season 2020 is known we will update you here. Keep safe and well, Guildford JFC Committee
