02.01.2022 From little things, big things grow! After planting some tiny seeds months ago today the children discovered whilst exploring the garden that some vegetables had grown! We harvested some beans and a small beetroot and saw that we had some squash, silver beet, tomato and lettuce well on its way. We picked a few of our beans and sat together to discuss them. The children held them, discussed them, smelt them and tasted them with their educator. They hypothesised what the inside of the pod would look like and shared their interest in how the beans inside were all different sizes. Whilst sifting through the veggie garden we met a beautiful yellow lady beetle can these ones fly? Xavier asked I think they can their educator shared let’s watch and see. We love spending time in our gardens and can’t wait to see what else we can grow.
