14.01.2022 Congratulations Miss Jodi. Miss Jodi we are all so happy that you are now studying the Bachelor of Early Childhood Degree and have become our Kindergarten teacher. The children light up when they see you or your red tonka truck pull up each day, and the parents are over the moon that you have accepted the role. Jodi you are a team player who constantly looks out for the wellbeing of all our Gumnuts team and you are very highly respected amongst your peers. Jodi your projects with the children are truly inspiring and we love the outside research you complete and then bring to the children. We look forward to watching your career growth and thank you for everything you do for Gumnuts.

08.01.2022 Our Kindergarten children have been totally fascinated by all things space over the past month. Last week they asked if they could make a rocket ship and space helmets. The children have been planning the experiences together along with their wonderful teachers and are very proud of their achievements so far.

06.01.2022 We have had a lot of rain so far this week, but that hasn't stopped our sense of fun and adventure. We have utilised our foyer area a lot this week and the children have just loved banging out tunes on our piano. The piano is proving to be a big hit at the Service with children and educators showing just how talented they are. Music brings a smile to everyone's face.

02.01.2022 The Reggio Emilia approach recognises the environment as the third teacher physical spaces have the potential to influence how and what children learn. Natural spaces (environment and materials) help spark curiosity and provide unlimited opportunities for children to explore, problem solve, take reasonable risk, and develop theories on how their world works. At Sparrow, our environments are thoughtfully curated to enhance and engage learning and discovery for children to flourish. #Natureplay #ReggioEmilia #TheSparrowWay #SparrowEarlyLearning #BushKindy

01.01.2022 The rain has stopped and the muddy play begins. Our Possum hollow and Kanga Nook showed how through conversation and investigation the best way to dig a muddy puddle "really deep" and then move the mud around to create a construction zone. the conversations were endless so much fun.
