16.01.2022 When asked What sort of gutter guard should we use?, we always suggest Gutter-Flow. Why? Because not only will it keep a lot of debris out of your gutters, ...it will also allow water to flow through your gutters (the purpose of the gutter!) and the best thing is, it is easy to remove, clean the gutters and then replace again, because even with a gutter guard, you will still need to clean your gutters! 15.01.2022 Gutter Guards. So much wrong information out there about them. The biggest one is that with a gutter guard you will ‘never have to clean your gutters again!’ ... WRONG! You will still need to have your gutters cleaned. Maybe not as often, but no gutter guard will ever stop all debris going into your gutters and more often what we see is that seeds will get through the gutter guard and cause growth right up and through the gutter guard. This is why we recommend our Gutter-Flow. It will stop all the leafy matter building up in your gutters, but still allow water to flow through the gutters so that they do their job. The best bit is, they are easy to install and more importantly remove for easy gutter cleaning. Once removed, gutters cleaned, we can simply put the Gutter-Flow back in the gutters. If you have a fixed Gutter guard (that is it is screwed down mesh), then it means we have to unscrew it, clean and then attempt to put the gutter guard back down. This basically more than doubles the workload and therefore, will more than double the price of cleaning your gutters. 05.01.2022 Some roofs are simply too high for us to access via a ladder, but that doesn’t mean we can’t do the job. We can use an Elevated work platform such as a scissor... lift or a cherry picker. In this case, we only need the EWP to access the roof as it was a flat roof just up a long way! Sometimes we actually work from the EWP. Of course we are trained to do this safely.
