24.01.2022 Some roofs are simply too high for us to access via a ladder, but that doesn’t mean we can’t do the job. We can use an Elevated work platform such as a scissor lift or a cherry picker. In this case, we only need the EWP to access the roof as it was a flat roof just up a long way! Sometimes we actually work from the EWP. Of course we are trained to do this safely. How high do you think we can go?

24.01.2022 Did you know that ladders are the cause of many accidents or people falling from a height? At Gutter-Vac we take safety very seriously and we are trained to not only work on the roof safely but how to use a ladder correctly, including securing it and how to access the roof off the ladder there is a technique to do it safely. At this time of year, please take care and if you don’t have the correct ladder or you can’t secure it properly and safely, then stop and don’t do it.

20.01.2022 Sometimes it make more sense to clean your gutters from the ground, just as we are doing on this property. We can get the same efficient and effective clean from the ground as we can from the roof so #safetyfirst . Even though the skies are blue, sometimes there is dew or even frost on a roof making it unsafe to work from the roof. 20.01.2022 Did you know that most reported falls from a roof are actually a fall from a ladder? The most dangerous point of using a ladder is either when you are at the top of the ladder and leaning out and away from the ladder or when you are getting onto a roof or getting back onto the ladder. If you ladder is not secured correctly or on uneven ground, this make this situation even more dangerous. Is it even worth it? What would happen to you and your family if you fell and couldn’t... work for several weeks, let alone if you got a permanent injury? Leave it to the professionals.

Because not only will it keep a lot of debris out of your gutters, it will also allow water to flow through your gutters (the purpose of the gutter!) and the best thing is, it is easy to remove, clean the gutters and then replace again, because even with a gutter guard, you will still need to clean your gutters!...
