I just completed this book & its a cracker. Purpose Driven Movement. Authors: Tarek Michael-Chouja & Dan Henderson. Thanks fellas. Were very looking forward to getting back to classes and applying the theory.

20.01.2022 Let's talk NUTRITION (for Parents): Here are the TOP 10 Fatloss Tips courtesy of 'Fatloss Take Control' by Andrew Simmons. The Professional Development continues while in Isolation and i've just re-read my favourite Nutrition book. I'll be uploading posts onto the GYMFIT Facebook page to unpack & expand on the following concepts.... Drum Roll...Here they are. 1. Reduce your overall carbohydrate intake, particularly sugars and starches. 2. Reduce your carbohydrate intake as the day progresses. 3. Increase your protein intake. 4. Reduce your intake of saturated fat. 5. Eat sufficient amounts of good fat each day. 6. Eat 5-6 small meals per day. 7. Follow a structured resistance training program at least once per week. 8. Perform cardiovascular exercise before breakfast no less than 2-3 hours after eating. 9. Perform cardiovascular exercise no less than 2-3hours after eating. 10. Wait an hour to eat after exercise. (but no longer) Have a great weekend. Stay DRY.

Their daughter Amber, is a current Step 3 member & is a little superstar. The family all train at the same time & is fitting in well with their busy lives. Scott kindly sent us a testimony.... "Our 8 year old daughter has been absolutely loving the Step program, so my wife & I have joined alongside her in Gymfit to try to keep up. Dan's been very encouraging, the exercises are interesting, and the three of us now look forward to heading to olympic Fun & Fitness together every Wednesday" Gymfit is a new program open to our members & non-members. Due to the Covid-19 Isloation period we all need to eat well, keep your mind right & stay active. So we're launching our NEW Gymfit Facebook 'LIVE' sessions.... It's called the ISO 'Get Up' Series. These are full body workouts, suitable for the home using very little equipment. Here are the deets.. Day/Time: Wed, 5pm (Replay's can be viewed later) Length: 20-25min Space: 5 x 8m area clear of obstacles. Equipment: Common household items. Ie: Tennis ball, Chair, Backpack, Cushion, Toilet Roll, 1m Stick, Towel, Water Bottle, Shoes are optional. 17.01.2022 The Federal Government announced the following to combat the spread of Coronavirus. "Pubs, clubs, bars, restaurants, cinemas, sporting and religious venues to ...close from midday tomorrow under new social distancing measures.." - Scott Morrison This means that we are unable to provide classes for our members from Monday Mar 23rd, 12pm onwards until further advised. We are all devastated by this news. We have been processing the information and members will receive an email today. It's important for everyone to take care of yourself & loved ones at this time. That includes exercising, and eating well to keep your immunity strong. Damien is currently in isolation, having recently returned from overseas & is offering 'Beat Da Bug' live Facebook workouts. 14.01.2022 REFLECTIONS: What a Journey. I've worked with the most amazing groups of people within Australia and Overseas... I've been sorting photo's and discovered i've had so many diverse roles over the past 15 years, working with Tribes in Papua New Guinea, the NSW Fire Brigade, Football Teams, Outdoor Group Training, Corporate Gym Management, Asylum Seekers, and Online Fitness. I have met the most inspiring people and am very fortunate and appreciative.... I'm now proudly at Gymfit in Jandakot, Perth W.A, and the journey continues...
13.01.2022 GYMFIT: 5 Min Static Stretch Routine (Description) Sound ON. Are we stretching correctly? Here is our Gymfit 5min Static stretch routine that we complete at the end of each session. ... This is a 'Must do' for Post exercise to achieve the following... 1. Decresing muscle soreness & stiffness 2. Increase blood flow for recovery 3. Preventing blood pooling 4. Disipating lactic acid 5. Slowly switching off the Sympathetic Nervous System. 6. Slowly lowering our core temp & bring the body back to its steady state. - Each stretch is held for 12-15 sec each for maximum benefit. - We focus on 2-3 major muscle groups at a time during each stretch for efficiency. - We concentrate on breathing & being connected with individual muscles and the effect minor movements have on the body, which then translates into our sessions. 01.01.2022 Big Dreams = Successful Teams. OLY/TWP was invited to West Leeming Primary Primary School to deliver a 'Landings' and 'Falls' training session for the Year 4 Football team. Our 2 main concepts.. "Protect yourself and the football". The boys were great through the session, and we wish them all the best for the rest of the season....
