24.01.2022 GCA is delighted to welcome Gungahlin Gymnastics as a Member Club of GCA. Gymnastics provides so many opportunities to learn and grow with the basic skills and movement patterns in gymnastics class transferrable to many different sports and to life in general. Gymnastics teaches perseverance, resilience and a growth mindset and their programs all aim to foster these key attributes in our gymnasts so they leave each class confident and keen to learn more. Gungahlin Gymnastic...s aims to cater for anyone who wants to give gymnastics a go, whether that means participating in a class once a week or reaching for the stars and aiming for the highest level of competition. Gungahlin Gymnastics is the realisation of a long held dream for Canberra locals Joel and Megan Moss. Combined they have years of experience coaching and teaching children and adults of all ages and abilities in a variety of sports. Gungahlin Gymnastics opened in April 2015 and has experienced rapid growth since the first day of classes. They opened with two coaches and 20 classes on the timetable and now are at 1440 gymnasts, a coaching team of 41 and two fully equipped gymnastics facilities, based in Mitchell, ACT. They value fun and safety above all other outcomes and their coaches demonstrate this philosophy in every class. The number one goal at Gungahlin Gymnastics is to have fun; fun learning, fun developing and fun experiencing the great sport of gymnastics. 20.01.2022 GCA is delighted to welcome Cheltenham Youth Club as a Foundation member of GCA. CYC is a not-for-profit incorporated club, founded by Barbara Cunningham after the Olympic Games in 1956. The club has operated out of a number of venues over the years, originally starting in a hall in Cheltenham and is now located in Braeside, in Melbourne's South East. ... CYC was the original home of Victoria’s elite programs, before the purpose built facilities in Prahran were established. CYC has experienced much success with its athletes over the years, competing at State, National and International levels. The club offers programs in Gymnastics, Trampolining, Kinder Gym and Adult Gymsports. Governed by a volunteer Committee of Management the club currently has approximately 800 registered athletes and employees 40 coaches Their mission is to create a healthy, fun and safe environment that empowers participants to challenge their mind and body under the guidance of a dedicated and passionate team. Western Districts Gymnastics (WDYC) is a non-profit sporting organisation that has been serving Brisbane’s North-West suburbs for over 46 years. Established in 1972 and incorporated as Western Districts Youth Club Inc in 1988, WDYC has a proud history in offering inclusive gymnastics programs catering to a wide range of interests and skill levels. WDYC is governed by a volunteer Management C...ommittee, comprised primarily by parents of gymnasts. Their Coaching team comprises of some of Australia’s leading gymnastics coaches, all accredited by Gymnastics Australia. The facility provides the youth of the Brisbane north-western suburbs the opportunity to experience the sport of gymnastics in a facility that offers over 600m2 of training space. Located at Purtell Park, the club houses a large variety of specialised gymnastics equipment. Every year, approximately 700+ children of all ages ranging from toddlers, right through to adults come and learn gymnastics. The programs emphasize fun, fitness and the fundamentals of gymnastics. We instruct children ranging from 12 months to adults and at every skill level whether it is competitive, recreational or skills development.
