Next week's finals will look like this:... 25th November @ Pavillion Game 1: 4pm: 5th vs 6th Game 2: 5pm: 2nd vs 3rd Game 3: 6pm: 1st vs 4th With the winners of Game 2 and Game 3 matching up on Saturday the 28th. Game time to be confirmed.

24.01.2022 HSJ (High School Juniors): Please note there is an error on Sports TG fixture regarding games this Wednesday. It has Raptors playing Cavaliers at 4pm for a 5 vs 6 match up. It is meant to be Sparks vs Cavaliers at 4pm in that match up. I will endeavour to fix it ASAP. (Raptors play the 5pm game vs the Saints. Sorry for any confusion this may have caued.... 24.01.2022 HSJ UPDATE: STARTING NEXT WEEK 2nd of SEPTEMBER (ignore photo of this weeks roster, as games are still 4pm, 445pm, and 530pm)... Hi all, as you will notice with below game times...we have gone back to full games now that we have the court until 7pm. I am still currently working on a BENCH DUTY roster, and will try emailing parents/players again to look for more volunteers as It seems that not everyone got the last one. Miguel

22.01.2022 We are holding team photos for all teams this season. Team photos will take place at the beginning of each game between 2nd of Nov till 11th of Nov. Please arrive 10mins before your game. We are allowing two weeks as some teams have a bye. Photos are included in registration fee. Thank you!

20.01.2022 High School Juniors: Game times and Bench Duty Rosters. If anyone has done their COVID course online and would like to volunteer for any of the three games please let me know, that would be greatly appreciated. Also, great news: We have managed to find some more Wednesday court times before finals so I will be updating game fixtures this week that will show all games for rest of season. (no games during school holidays)

18.01.2022 In the Senior Women's Final match up, people were treated to re-match from last season's Grand Final where the Sparks were victorious over The Fever. Only this time, the Fever came packing some heat. After playing short handed in last years' final, the Fever flew out to door to an early lead versus the Sparks. Sparks captain Naomi Lally motivated her team late in the third quarter to draw the Sparks within 1 point. However, the power tandem of Kiah Monk and Chloe Selling was too much for any defence, as they combined for 37 points to seal earn the title as Champions for a third time. Fever 45 - Sparks 37

17.01.2022 Just a kind reminder, that registration is open now for all comps. Please keep in mind that if you can register as soon as possible, it will make it a much easier process for all our Coordinators to set up the fixture for the season, and allocate players to teams. Thank you :)

16.01.2022 Well done to this team of Champions! They are our first Gympie U12 Rep team in a long time and played their first game today at Maryborough. It was about a million degrees in the stadium but they battled through and never gave up. It was a great chance for players to feel the intensity of a rep game and they adjusted beautifully as the game went on. Maryborough were a bit taller but we gave it our all and went down by about 10 pts. Thankyou to all of the parents for driving up and we are looking forward to them coming to Gympie for a game in the New Year.

14.01.2022 3 On 3 News: Well, last week's inaugural 3on3 Comp started, and what a fun night it was! Some minor hitches to start, but in the end we saw some fast paced action and lots of laughs too! Starting with Juniors (11-17 yrs), Women's, Mixed Open and then Men's, all levels had great ball! Round two is tomorrow night and here are the match-ups. Please be early and ready to go for your comp's start time, you may not play first match but you may have bench or ref duties. Remembe...r, everyone pitches in to help make this comp run smoothly. If you haven't paid your fees, please make sure you bring MONEY, because you won't be allowed to play until you pay :). Team fees are $90 per team, or if you are on a team of 3 - $30 each, team of 4 - $22.50 each. Please see Joanne Hose at the entrance for payments, otherwise you can transfer team fees to the club bank. Ask Jo for details. Attached are game times:

14.01.2022 In an expected battle of the giants, the Men's Grand final between the Huskies and last year's runners up, Kings, the game's start equalled the anticipation. The Huskies, whom nobody would have predicted to finish first atop the ladder took on second place Kings. In a fully timed game with the stifling heat settling into The Pavilion, this battle promised to be exhausting. The Huskies started the game at a disadvantage without their Season MVP, Brandon Albrecht and without... any substitutions. This didn't appear to faze them until the second half when foul trouble and tempers collided in favour of the already leading Kings. The Huskies showed true grit and determination battling on but limped over the finish line well behind the Kings whom ran away with the Championship by 40 points. Grand Final MVP, Luke Hauser took away the Player's Player award as well, proving that there is no diminish in his game form. See more

13.01.2022 Our Gympie U12 Boys team have been training since October and our first carnival is finally here. We are in Rocky competing in the CQJBC carnival. We lost to Hervey Bay this morning but had a huge win against Bundaberg this afternoon. The boys are building confidence and scoring lots of buckets. 2 more games tomorrow, we'll keep you updated!

07.01.2022 Just a reminder about our Summer Comp 3 On 3 Starting on the 1st of December (Tuesdays) It will run the first three Tuesdays in December and the first three Tuesdays of January. There are 4 different comps; Juniors (aged 11-17), Senior Women's, Mixed, Senior Mens. Running every hour starting at 5pm respectively. There is a cap of 8 teams per comp. Registration closes this Tuesday (as we need to know numbers to set up the comp). At the moment, there are only 2x Junior Te...ams and 3x Senior Men's teams. If we cannot get enough teams registered by Midnight, Tuesday the 24th of November we will revert back to Social Basketball. 04.01.2022 This year Gympie sent down a couple teams to the Sunny Coast for the annual Carnival at Clippers Stadium. One women's team and one men's team. The women lost only one game in the round robin and advanced to semis on Monday, only to lose out by a narrow margin. Only after defeating last years' Carnival champions. Our men also made it to semis on Monday after playing some tough games over the weekend and ended up only losing by one to the eventual champions. ... Well done to all the players!

03.01.2022 Update on the Comets Women’s team at the Australia Day Carnival. 4 wins from 5 games, semi finals in the morning. Great team cohesion especially with some new team members. Doing our club proud, well done ladies.
