25.01.2022 A christmas bonfire at Kiaka Rd

25.01.2022 Have to keep a close watch out for tigers in these conditions

25.01.2022 Sometimes it's tricky finding enough room to park and unload, but that wasn't a problem today.

24.01.2022 Banging posts into rocks at Tamaree today, and a nice house getting built. Thanks Andrew and Kris.

24.01.2022 Looks like we're getting lucky and getting a storm season right on time

24.01.2022 Gday folks, hope everyone's enjoying the rain. It's what we need, correct for the season. Here's a photo of a waterfall in Buderim this morning.

24.01.2022 It's a jungle out there. Slashing at Luke and Skye's today.

24.01.2022 A nice line of posts marching into the distance. A good job for the Dickfos family, lovely soil for post driving for a change. Matt giving me a hand on this job.

24.01.2022 Things are drying off a bit. Slashing at Lower Wonga today for Callan. I liked his comment- "dunno if it really needs slashing, but it makes it looks better." That's the attitude I like !

23.01.2022 Have a great Easter everyone. I'm knocking off on Wednesday afternoon and will be back on deck on Monday. Making up my own Easter dates really, close enough isn't it??

23.01.2022 Things I don't particularly like slashing #101

22.01.2022 Note to self, Monday19th: remember this mineshaft is here when reversing.

22.01.2022 Starting on a post and rail fence at Shadbolt Rd. To be honest it's easier if the ground is a bit more level!

21.01.2022 Here's a novel idea I saw on my travels yesterday. Fence made out of 90mm stormwater pipe, the uprights are filled with concrete. Don't think I'd do it myself, but good marks for invention.

21.01.2022 Important advice from Gympie Slashing: If you are being chased by a gang of taxidermists, DO NOT play dead !

21.01.2022 Wild deer at a client's property- very hard to obtain a picture of these shy creatures

21.01.2022 I have soooo many followers....

21.01.2022 Everything's green, it's cooled off, and it's dried out. Heaven must be something like this. Here's a happy snap at Wongalowa today, great little job. Fair dinkum, there should be more paddocks like this one. And ain't it scenic!

20.01.2022 It's good to see these cooler mornings. Still a bit wet underfoot in places. This was yesterday at Traveston at Barry's grass farm.

20.01.2022 When there's no grass we have to go fencing. This is a job just completed on Tamaree Rd. The fence it replaced could have been heritage listed but ah well, too busy getting started to stop and take piccies. Thanks to Graeme and Cynthia, and James for your help on this one.

19.01.2022 I would like to die peacefully in my sleep, just like my grandfather did. Not screaming in terror, like his passengers.

19.01.2022 The frosty flats at The Palms are getting dry.

19.01.2022 TO ALL YOU HORSES OUT THERE....HAPPY BIRTHDAY

19.01.2022 Today's job, a property slash for proud new owners of nice Queenslander on acreage at Green's Creek

18.01.2022 It's a gloomy day for a photo but here's a pic, I couldn't resist leaving a few of the better saplings standing. They'll be good logs in 50 years.

18.01.2022 I was too early for a game of tenpin on Tuesday so I mowed the lawn while I was waiting.

18.01.2022 Just finishing off fencing three new ginger patches for Dickfos Inc at Anderleigh. Here's Matt pulling some wire the gentleman's way. Also he told me the mountain in the background of the first shot is Mt Kosciosko, which surprised me. It's amazing how far you can see from there.

18.01.2022 Installed a 5 foot gate in a dog fence at Woolooga today.

17.01.2022 I knew that Working in Confined Spaces accreditation would come in handy one day.

17.01.2022 Best bumper sticker I've seen for ages: If it wasn't for physics and law enforcement, I'd be unstoppable!

17.01.2022 This is pretty impressive, a piece of corrugated iron hurled into a tree presumably in a storm sometime. At Mullins Creek.

17.01.2022 What a difference a week makes, it's soggy again. On a different note, here's a photo I took at Sexton last week. There's been a bit of erosion in the gully but the tree's still standing.

15.01.2022 This week's project was a front entrance for Frank and Alison. They liked the idea of using steel cattle rail with the round posts. I reckon it looks good too. Thanks Alison and Frank, and Ray for your help.

14.01.2022 A shot of a fence in progress, then completed for Trent and Jo. Nice double gate and white top wire.

14.01.2022 Bl-oody hell this setaria is thick.

14.01.2022 I must say this customer has his place looking like a golf course. Hang on, it is a golf course.

14.01.2022 Instructions for using letterbox: open and close gently.

13.01.2022 Best wishes for Christmas everyone. Buckle in for the silliest week of the year. Thanks for your support and good feedback through 2017. I hope everyone has a happy Christmas break and good 2018. See you soon, Chris.

13.01.2022 Does anyone know what breed of cattle this is? Can't quite pin it down.

12.01.2022 They reckon Hilux is unbreakable, what about this old stager that I shifted during the week.

11.01.2022 This is an impressive tallowood tree in flower at the end of Aura Vale Rd. I reckon it's about 5 foot through, and his mate the blue gum is alongside him. I like the fact that the road builders over the years have preserved it, there's a swing around area that goes around it. Beautiful.

11.01.2022 A post and rail job in progress at Megan Rd. Stand by for rails.

10.01.2022 Setaria grass, the slasher man's friend. A makeover for Liz's paddock at Corella. If you look carefully you can see the tractor in the first shot.

10.01.2022 When I get a post billet that splits out like this it deserves a photo

10.01.2022 How good is this weather? Be-ewdiful. I'm celebrating by getting back into slashing jobs after a spell fencing. This one was today at The Palms. Blue sky and green grass, lovely.

10.01.2022 Pic 1, I'm going in. Pic 2, I'm coming out.

09.01.2022 Fencing the high country today, luckily just doing along the ridge, we didn't have to fence our way to the top.

09.01.2022 The sun goes down on another slashing day. But it's a bit Dusty, Slim.

09.01.2022 It's all go at Lyndon Drive. Me and James have just erected a fence capable of restraining a large concrete agitator.

08.01.2022 Just to be on the safe side I've installed a couple of fire extinguishers on the slasher. It's nerve wracking without them at the minute.

08.01.2022 Just finished the job for John and Jordie at Megan Rd. Stand by for a new mailbox.

08.01.2022 Peaceful scene in the hardwood plantation this afternoon

07.01.2022 This was a wild paddock I did today, just next to the Energex depot on Corella Rd. Could not believe it was actually dry underneath, I thought it would be pretty wet. Earlier at Southside I nearly had to put my floaties on. So ya just never know.

07.01.2022 Believe it or not there is still some slashing going on. But only in paddocks with no stock. Bit grim isn't it? Here's hoping the bureau is right about it raining this Monday and Tuesday. NQ to win the Final, then 80mm would be great.

06.01.2022 Tidying up the lychees today at Macintosh Creek. Thanks David and Tracey.

05.01.2022 Here's a photo of a post and rail entrance at Shadbolt Rd that we have just finished. There was also 125 metres of split posts with sight wire, it all looks pretty good. The labrador letterbox steals the limelight of course, he was overseeing the whole operation. Thanks to the owners Doug and Margaret, and to James for your help again.

04.01.2022 Food for thought: Despite the high cost of living, it remains a popular option.

04.01.2022 Just completed a fence at Corella for John and Michelle

04.01.2022 Quite a celebration at Gympie Slashing this weekend, yessir. Casey McTractorface, the loyal tractor, has logged up 3000 hours of excellent and reliable service, and celebrated with an oil change and a birthday cake. You can see by the smiling face that he enjoyed the occassion immensely. Thanks to Jock for his walk on appearance.

04.01.2022 Check out the horns on this beast. Wild cattle sighting at Corella.

04.01.2022 Getting ready for a job at Pie Creek. Intelligent camera activated the flash making the rear decals glow like a thing possessed.

03.01.2022 The grass is green and growing. One of the jobs today was slashing Gympie Ten Pin. The place is looking ship shape, good place to head for a some air conditioning and a friendly game. Thanks Rachel.

02.01.2022 What better way to spend Australia Day than cutting the grass. At Gympie Slashing we mix business with pleasure. Hope youse all had a good day, Chris.

01.01.2022 All Gympie Slashing work is field tested by a panel of experts

01.01.2022 Did a little fencing job at Macintosh Creek these last two days. Today was taste of what other parts of Australia feel like in winter. As usual , the job is inspected on completion before handover.

01.01.2022 Doing the annual slashing for Graham and Lynette at Banks Pocket. I love this job, nice and peaceful now that I know where the stumps are.

01.01.2022 Here's something really amazing...another dog fence! Just finished this one on Old Maryborough Rd
