21.01.2022 Over the weekend, the tree in the middle of our garden grew some special apples.... our friends were quick to notice they had letters of the alphabet on them! T...his sparked so many excited conversations around whose names started with which letter and then about going to find their letter apple hanging from the branches!! We love creating meaningful environments that encourage our children to engage in and develop their literacy skills See more

14.01.2022 April is Autism Acceptance month. This photo was taken around the time that I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome which is a form of Autism. I didn't accept ...it. I hated it. I couldn't even say it. Autism was the reason why I couldn't make friends, why kids said I was weird, why I flapped about, why I had to have a teacher aide to help me in class, why I ate my lunch with the groundsman at school, why people were always angry and shouting at me, why I couldn't explain myself or how I felt, why nobody wanted to talk about the things I was interested in, why I had to see a psychologist, why I hated leaving the house, why clothes itched, why I was always confused and forgetful, why things smelt disgusting, why I had to go to special clubs for kids with problems, why I couldn't focus on what people were saying, why I hated it when things changed, why people laughed at me even though I didn't say anything funny, why I said yes all the time to make people happy with me and why I had uncontrollable meltdowns. I wish I could go back and tell that kid that once you accept who you are, everything will work out fine. I hope this helps someone else. #autismacceptance #aspergers #asd #autism #april #hiddendisabilities #acceptance #truth #beyourself #aspyjones #pma #positivementalattitude #acceptdifference #neurodiversity #neurodiverse
