25.01.2022 BLUE CARD UPDATE: Blue Cards will be required of Judges, Coaches and Event Staff at all Gymnastics Queensland events. Blue Cards will also be required of Parent Volunteers if they have worked more than 7 days in a calendar year across any organisation. All technical members are reminded that you will be required to present a current physical copy of their Blue Card at all Events. This is now National Requirement in alignment with the No Card, No Start laws that have taken e...ffect from the 31st of August. 20.01.2022 TICKET ANNOUNCEMENT- Tickets for the Gymnastics Queensland Extravaganza will be released Monday at 4pm via our socials. Some frequently asked questions regarding ticketing have been answered below: Q: Do siblings have to purchase tickets?... A: All spectators attending the Extravaganza will have to have a ticket on entry. The ticket limit remains as 1 per competitor therefore Gymnastics Queensland unfortunately encourages siblings of competitors not to attend for this event. Q: Will the ticket sales be per session or per day? A: There will be a limit of 100 tickets per session. Our Gymnastics Queensland Events Team has worked tirelessly making specific adjustments for this event to ensure it is in line with COVID Restrictions. We thankyou all for your patience and being understanding during this time. Some top moments for QLD included: High Performance Camps resumed at the conclusion of 2020 and oversaw a large inclusion of Athletes to prepare again for competition season. Jayden Robinson-Patch (Men’s Senior International) and Charlotte Johnson (Women’s Junior International) were both selected to compete at the 2020 Pacific Rim Championships that w...e unfortunately postponed due to COVID-019, Gymnastics QLD would still like to congratulate both on a fantastic achievement. 06.01.2022 Following this morning’s announcement from the Queensland Government that the Greater Brisbane region (Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich, Moreton and Redlands) will be required to stay home from 6pm tonight until 6pm Monday 11th January to combat the spread of the new COVID-19 strain, ALL community sports will be cancelled for the duration of the lockdown period. FAQ from the Queensland Government regarding the three-day lockdown can be found here: https://www.qld.gov.au//current-/greater-brisbane-lockdown The guidelines additionally comment on outdoor sports such as golf and tennis, both of which are not permitted. Therefore, the guidelines will require the closure of gymnastics clubs within the Greater Brisbane region over this lockdown period.

03.01.2022 A look back on RG in 2020 What a big year, congratulations to all RG Athletes on their resilience and participation! Some top moments for QLD included: RG Masterclass Series over lockdown hosted by various High Performance athletes to engage junior athletes throughout the state. The classes saw attendances from QLD, Australia and international athletes from Malaysia and NZ also attended. Two clinics serviced athletes and coaches both in the Metro and Regional areas to... develop new skills while also enjoying the opportunity to learn and train amongst friends again! Some top moments for QLD included: River City Gymnastics was one of the first clubs back to hosting events in November providing athletes with a AER QLD Cup to compete at! 01.01.2022 EXTRAVAGANZA TIP #7 There will be various alcohol based hand sanitising stations available through the venue at the upcoming event. All patrons will be expected to wash their hands or use hand sanitiser upon arrival into the venue and repeat when exiting.
