17.01.2022 It seems every aspect of the lives of women is commented on, and judged, in one way or another, but none more so than whether or not they have a child.

14.01.2022 Have you been considering being more active in your workplace? Have you thought about being a Women's delegate, a delegate or an HSR? Our sisters at We Are Union Women are running the The Anna Stewart Memorial Project (ASMP) Monday 12 October to Thursday 22 October. It is always an interesting, empowering and rewarding experience, providing women with the confidence and skills to be more active in the workplaces. Usually we only take one or two women members to complete ASMP... training, this time around it is being delivered online and FREE. This allows us to offer ANY woman member the chance to attend any or all of the ASMP sessions. You can sign up for one session or all of them- it's up to you. If you complete 5 or more workshops you will get a Certificate of Completion. So what are you waiting for check out the program and sign up: https://www.unionwomen.org.au/events

12.01.2022 We are so excited to have Karen Pickering speaking to us at our Reproductive Health and Wellbeing leave webinar on Tuesday 22 September. She is co-author of the amazing book "About Bloody Time". ABOUT BLOODY TIME makes the case for menstrual revolution as an essential key to unlocking gender equality. Thousands of women and girls shared their experience of menstruation and menopause. The results were clear. Shame. Stigma. Humiliation. Disgust. Negative attitudes are pervasive..., entrenched, and harmful. This book digs deep into the menstrual taboo: where it exists, how it came to be and why it’s so resilient. Our culture asks women and girls to view their bodies through a prism of negativity and fear. We want to change that. 09.01.2022 Australian National University Associate Professor Louise Stone said threats of violence towards medical professionals seemed to disproportionately impact women.

07.01.2022 What a surprise! Said no one.

05.01.2022 This is an issue we are very much aware of at Health and Community Services Union (HACSU) which is why we were so pleased to have Aware Super at our Delegates' Conferences talking about 'Women and Super'. Our commitment to ensuring a better outlook can be seen in our current Mental Health EBA campaign. We are asking that super be sent to your fund ON THE DAY YOU GET PAID and that super is paid on all Maternity leave- including the unpaid portion. Just these two measures will help boost retirement savings.

03.01.2022 By now we should all be inspired to make Reproductive Health and Wellbeing Leave a reality. It's now time for us all to get active. Our first action is a petition. That cornerstone of all activism. We want to show the people on the other side of the negotiating table that there is huge support for this. So sign the petition- and share amongst your friends, family and colleagues.... https://www.megaphone.org.au//support-reproductive-health-

03.01.2022 Have you signed our petition yet? Please sign and show your support for making Reproductive Health and Wellbeing Leave an entitlement for all workers. https://www.megaphone.org.au//support-reproductive-health-
