24.01.2022 #BREAKING: ‘DAILY LIVING’ BACK..BORDER RESTRICTIONS TO BE AMENDED TONIGHT Residents on the border will now be able to freely travel either side of the Murray Ri...ver tomorrow. Local Member for Albury Justin Clancy has confirmed amended border closure restrictions will be in place as of midnight so it is line with Victorian regional easing. Mr Clancy said he had a copy of the NSW Public Health Order which states the amendment will now be in place from midnight tonight, September 16, after it was signed off by the NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard this afternoon. It means border zone permit holders can tomorrow visit the gym, go to pubs, clubs, restaurants and even exercise in their neighbouring border communities. Mr Clancy originally expected the amendment to be in place as of today but NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced in her press conference this morning that amended public health orders were currently with the NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard and should be signed today or tomorrow with the new rules to be implemented in the coming week. Mr Clancy said he was relieved it has come earlier. This will bring more relief for our border communities, he said.
