24.01.2022 HAIR EXPO AWARDS UPDATE Hair Expo Australia want to express our concern for everyone impacted by Coronavirus. The effects, actual and projected, of Coronavirus are becoming evident across all aspects of our lives here in Australia and around the world. In the context of the current situation, and following the Australian Government directive, last week we made the difficult but appropriate decision to postpone Hair Expo Australia, which was planned to be held in Melbour...ne from 6 - 8 June, until later in 2020. Reed Exhibitions, organisers of Hair Expo Australia, are working closely with our customers to find the most suitable alternative dates for the event. As we navigate through this period together, we wanted to assure you that accordingly, the Hair Expo Awards entry due date will be extended in line with a new date for Hair Expo Australia 2020. This extension will be no less than an additional month to complete your entry, however if you can bear with us over the coming week, we will be able to confirm the revised entry date as soon as possible. 21.01.2022 An important update from Hair Expo Australia Due to the escalation of COVID-19 globally, Reed Exhibitions has today announced that the next edition of Hair Expo Australia will now take place from 12-14 June 2021. Following our earlier announcement regarding the postponement of Hair Expo Australia and in line with Australian government regulations, the team at Reed Exhibitions Australia have been working closely with you, our customers, as well as the venue and our contracto...rs to identify the most suitable new dates. Initially, we were optimistic that Hair Expo Australia would run later this year and our principle focus was on ensuring that any new dates were ideally positioned to support all our customers in capitalising on a more positive return to trading. The dates that were given to us did not meet these criteria and so we have made the difficult decision not to run the event this year. We appreciate that this is disappointing news, however we have made this decision with everyones health and safety as our number one priority. We can now look ahead to the 2021 edition with more certainty. We will continue to do our utmost to help all our customers, partners and attendees to prepare for the next edition, and we will ensure that the industry stays connected during this time. SJs have cemented their place in the industry with 6 award nominations since opening, as well as forming an amazing team of Adelaides best colourists, creative stylists and innovative young guns who provide the ultimate salon experience. The last few months have been hard for ma...ny small businesses, salons included. SJs transformed their space into a positive safety bubble for their many clients who continued to visit. Fully equipped with PPE, spaced out stations, plenty of time for thorough cleaning and opening extra hours, they have managed to look after their clients the whole way through. I regret to announce that it was decided during this review that Hair Expo Australia will be discontinued and no longer be a part of Reed Exhibitions calendar of events....
