25.01.2022 Today our Dalby children were curious about what the bushes were outside our hall, once we told them it was rosemary and was edible they decided to try some. It sparked a conversation about different herbs and how they are used in the kitchen. Later they ventured out to the Dalby beach to swim in the lagoon and splash around under the waterfall.



24.01.2022 Bunker’s Hill Vacation Care! What a wonderful way to start our school holidays! This week was jam packed with exciting activities, that we got to experience with our friends from Wyreema We started Monday with CRAZY hair day and some yummy apricot chicken! As well as creating some relaxing bath salts. We battled for top prize in dodgeball and spent lots of time on the playground.... Tuesday was full of craft making jewellery with Miss Alannah and balloon rockets to race our friends. We also danced around to our favourite songs in a game of musical chairs and practiced our soccer skills ready for the inflatable target Wednesday we used our soccer skills on the massive inflatable target! We had lots of bullseyes We made some treasure maps of the school and went digging in the sand pit to see if there was any! After playing all of our favourite group games we cooled down with some frozen yoghurts Thursday we continued digging to find treasure however found fossils instead! We studied them to conclude they are from dinosaurs We enjoyed a day in the kitchen making snow cones and pizzas to enjoy for lunch! We also made some puppets using clothespins to hang up around the room. Friday was filled of decorating our gardens. We made some salt dough wind chimes to hang in the trees and planted some beans to grow over the weekend. We can’t wait to see them Monday! We had sensory stations to explore different textures and limbo to have some fun with our friends. Can’t wait to see you for another exciting week at Bunker’s Hill

22.01.2022 Fairholme 2/10/20 Friday morning we had the RSPCA visit- they gave us a very informative and fun talk about what their organisation does and how we can treat animals with love and care They loved the thankyou card the older childeren made and everyone signed . We also had a hair dressing station where the hairdressers braided, combed and beautified our hair

22.01.2022 Once upon a time in a far away place called Dalby their was a wonderous vacation care Service for children to explore, imagine, create, invent, construct and play all day, this was their "Happy Place" One morning the children gathered around the kitchen counter and baked their little hearts out. They created choc chip cookies which they lovingly shared with the local vet and police station personnel. They also whipped up some honey joys and yummy treats to enjoy together whi...le watching a movie. There were also keen sports folk who competed together in a mini olympics where everyone was a winner. The children loved their happy place so much they decided to come back next week to spread more happiness and joy to everyone in the little kingdom that is Dalby. The end.



21.01.2022 So many exciting things to share this week from Ripley Valley! We’ve had an amazing first week of vac care this week; engaging in so many activities and games that we all love! We started the week on Monday with yummy snow cones on a hot day and fun activities of ant research and musical chairs! We also improved our soccer skills with a fun soccer clinic. On Tuesday we devoured hot dogs for lunch and made beautiful flower pots out of old shoes! ... Wednesday was a bit crazy with crazy hair day and marshmallow construction cars. But we made some relaxing bath salts to unwind at the end of the day! On Thursday we made some frozen yogurt full of yummy fruit and had a talent show where everyone showcased their skills!! Today we finished off the week with table tennis, limbo, a craft of coffee stain treasure maps and yummy homemade pizzas! We are so excited for next week

20.01.2022 Fairholme 30/09/20 This morning we used rubber bands to make rubber band bouncy balls. We played handball together with the balls we made . We also went to the oval to play our favourite games- pop up tag, bull rush and buildup tag. We even had mini sprint races using the Fairholme track

20.01.2022 Ripley Valley Vacation Care Another amazing week at Ripley Valley! We started off the week getting very creative; craft lessons, dance offs and salt dough wind chimes! We also helped make cookies for our local fire fighters and they were a hit! Raving reviews and big appreciation for the team and students at Ripley Valley.... On Wednesday we had our usual bike and scooter day where we rode around our outdoor course all day! A lot of parents commented their children were very tired that night. We had heaps of fun with our indoor and outdoor activities that all the students loved!! See you next term!



19.01.2022 Fairholme This afternoon we explored our imaginations and made maps to find a hidden treasure (we even stained them and ripped the sides to make them look ancient)! The fruit punch for afternoon tea was a real hit and cooled everyone down after all the running around outside.

18.01.2022 Fairholme 29/9/20 This morning we made peg puppets at the craft table- we made lions, giraffes, fish and elephants. We also went to Webb Park and played on the awesome play equipment they have there. We also played Chinese whispers, musical chairs, wink murder and heads down thumbs up inside. Henry’s mum brought his little puppy dog into us to say hello, which we loved

16.01.2022 Bunker’s Hill Over the past two weeks the students have loved planning different activities in our program book and working together to decide on which activity they would like to do each day. We have had lots of science, cooking, sports and art activities. We are working hard this week on creating some beautiful decorations for our room in preparation for the fast approaching Christmas vacation care.

15.01.2022 Fairholme What an awesome morning we had at Fairholme today!! We started off by making Honey Joys with Miss Bella~ we polished them off at our morning tea picnic outside! yum! After our snack break we enjoyed outside play. We climbed the web with friends, dug holes and mountains in the sandpit using teamwork and showed off our bravery and skills as we made our way down the fireman’s pole. After this we were ready to retire inside to enjoy the story of Pig the Elf and a game of Pass the Parcel! We all got something a little special when the music stopped on us and it was a great way to end the morning.

14.01.2022 Fairholme Newsflash - Tuesday This morning we made our own bath salts We also rode around on bikes, scooters and skateboards in the afternoon Everyone loved playing freeze bop all together- we danced around outside to music and showed off our crazy dance moves



13.01.2022 This afternoon at Fairholme we planted flowers in the boots and shoes we brought in from home We also hula-hooped outside and played human ring toss. To finish the day we competed in a big game of table tennis

11.01.2022 Herries Street Vacation Care What a wonderful first week it has been, there have been many sporting activities that have taken place! We have ran a soccer, volleyball skipping and cricket clinic to allow the children to extend or learn some new skills We have played various group games such as pop up tag, bullrush, ship,shore,shark, silent ball, Chinese soccer, many different types of basketball games and line tag to name a few! On Monday we started off the week wit...h an art class, spring punch and clothes pin puppets! On Tuesday we got involved with a dance off, the children showing off their best dance moves we made bath salts, watched a movie and had some snacks as well as playing a game of limbo Wednesday and Thursday consisted of sensory stations, a jewellery workshop which the children thought was fantastic and got excited about making one for their friends or parents! We built our very own marshmallow balloon powered car other children created a flower boot and we also upcycled an old water container to create our very own vacation care garden we had crazy hair day which was awesome to see everyone involved and we ended our Thursday enjoying some delicious home made pizza YUM!!

08.01.2022 HERRIES ST VACATION CARE Our two weeks of holidays has come to an end, and what a busy two weeks it has been! This week has brought many highlights, where we really loved our emergency drop in centre! We continued to learn how to wrap up a sprain, and were given a challenge to make a sling ... The LEGO masters competition was also a highlight, spending the whole day carefully crafting our creations! We also enjoyed Mrs Whippy - Thankyou so much for driving all the way to see us despite a broken down van and a flat tyre! Thursday saw us make some vintage treasure maps and bake some biscuits as part of our community engagement. These were delivered to our local vet at the end of the day - crunchy bits and all!

06.01.2022 We have had two very busy days at Dalby so far this week. The children created wonderfully designed loom band bracelets and rings for themselves and friends. They challenged each other to a rocket balloon race, experienced a sensory table and made wind chimes. They enjoyed visits from two puppies, Petey and Little Louie who were so soft and snuggly. They also spent time outdoors dancing and catching bubbles.

06.01.2022 We had a fantastic week at Wyreema last week. Our theme was around the world. Each day the children got involved in different crafts that symbolised different places around the world. We made Japanese paper fans, we did Aboriginal dot painting, baked Mexican nachos, coloured in pictures that represented Paris and made our own Earth with paper plates. The children got a lovely visit from Loui, Miss Tamika’s puppy. He even joined us for our afternoon play outside! The weather was so great this week that most afternoons were spent all outside! The children have also given me some great ideas for our next weeks theme.

06.01.2022 We enjoyed another wonderful day at Dalby today. Our medical centre opened for business and the doctors were run off their feet. Our digital scavenger hunt was a lot of fun, the children used camera's and their iPads to photograph the items on their list. We also played pool noodle toss which was harder than it sounds but was so much fun. We ended our day rescuing a pigeon hatchling the children named Lucky, who will now be cared for by a teacher. Go our HTS wildlife warriors.

06.01.2022 Fairholme 1/10/20 The girls put on a fabulous ballet performance for us all to enjoy.

05.01.2022 Minden vacation care We have had a great first week of vacation care with so many great activities. Wednesday we enjoyed taking all our worries away with our own hand made worry dolls, as well as exploring the day in the life of an ant with our ant house ... On Thursday we tested our taste buds and cooking skills with some delicious apricot chicken, while exploring our School on our bikes, scooters and roller skates. When one of our friends was in need with a chain repair we stopped to help right away! Today ~ last day What better way to end the week then with some target practice! The children showed off their target throwing with a very large inflatable target, Everyone did a great job See you next week for some more fun!

02.01.2022 Fairholme 1/10/20 This morning we prepared our frozen yogurt cups to eat for afternoon tea We chose the fruits we liked to the yogurt and even added some sprinkles. We made little Pom Pom créatures at the craft table. We played tennis at the Fairholme tennis courts and went to the gym to play group games The girls also did a fabulous ballet performance

02.01.2022 Drayton OSHC news We created our own Christmas characters this week and finger painted our ‘2020’ Christmas trees. We turned our favourite 2D game into a 3D LEGO game fit with our own tasks, ghosts and rolls to play at our tables.

01.01.2022 Tarampa OSHC Monday and Tuesday. The children have started display a lot of excitement and a wonderful Christmas Spirit, so on Monday and Tuesday they decorated our Christmas Tree, which still needs a star. As you can see the children are very proud of their school, hence the school hat is being used as a temporary star.... We also discovered our creative side using paddle pop sticks. The children love getting the room ready for Christmas at Tarampa OSHC.
