24.01.2022 FREE COLOURING SHEETS AND PENCILS The reason for my post today is that quite often when families come I. To arrange a monument for their loved one there is often young children/ I always have colouring pencils and colouring books for the kiddies to play with as they do not need to have to worry about what the adults are doing. Therefore as I know it is school holiday time I have photocopied a lot of colouring pages and I have sets with coloured pencils that I would like to ...send out at no charge to any family who may be having difficulty and wanting something for the kids to do. The pictures are probably for pre-school to grade 5 maybe 6. If anyone is interested in a free little pack with pencils please Direct Message me Therese and I will post them out to you. We don’t want anything out of this other than making some kids happy and give some Mums and Dads a rest for 10 Minutes or so. I do have a certain amount at the moment but will do more depending on how many requests we get. Regards Therese Hallett xxxx See more

21.01.2022 VISITING A CEMETERY IN A RESTRICTED POSTCODE The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has advised that visiting a cemetery in a restricted postcode is not permitted unless attending a funeral. This affects Fawkner Memorial Park and Northern Memorial Park, in Moreland City Council area.... Funerals are excepted, with a maximum of 10 mourners allowed for services at Fawkner and Northern Memorial Parks. If you have a pre-arranged appointment with us at Fawkner, you are permitted to attend. Please make sure you carry confirmation of this appointment should you be asked for evidence of essential activities by the police. We understand the impact these new restrictions will have on our families and communities and deeply regret that recent outbreaks have led to this directive. All other GMCT sites remain fully operational and open to visitors. https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/religion-and-ceremony-restricte Please feel free to share this post with family and friends in all affected areas.

17.01.2022 As avid car lovers, Wayne & Therese Hallett were delighted to be apart of the 50th Anniversary celebrations for the Lot 6 GTHO day. We donated a laser etched plaque which will be used as a foundation stone at Lot 6 Mahoneys Road, Thomastown. The history behind this story is amazing. Wayne often wonders whether his father would have not that Lot 6 was where it was considering that he was working at the old Factory at 280 Mahoneys Road, Thomastown from 1950. Story below: THE... ‘LOT 6’ GTHO 50th ANNIVERSARY ‘LOT 6’, Mahoney’s Road, Thomastown in Victoria was the secret location of the Ford Special Vehicles Unit and the birthplace of the legendary Ford GTHO 50 years on from the birth of the GTHO comes a unique opportunity to celebrate all things GTHOright there - at ‘Lot 6’, the birthplace of the legend. 11.01.2022 || Coronavirus (COVID-19) || Dear valued clients and families, As a small business we anticipate that many of you have questions regarding our efforts in managing the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis. Please be advised that we are taking this matter very seriously during this time we want to take a moment to let our clients & families know that we are here still running business as usual to the best of our ability. We are working with our suppliers regarding updates on a...ll orders and stock that is excepted to arrive from either China or Italy, however with their lockdowns this has slowed down production until it is safe enough for all workers to return to work without being at risk of COVID-19. Our office staff and workers have been advised to stay home if they have been in contact with a person testing positive to COVID-19 or have travelled overseas in the last 14 days. If an employee begins to feel ill in any way, they are advised to notify us and are asked not to come in until we feel the situation is safe and there is no risk to our clients and to the rest of our team. We are keeping up cleaning in the mornings and afternoons with regular hand washing and sanitising. We are asking those who request an appointment in our office, at your home or at the cemetery to please let us know if they or someone in their household, business etc. had suffered from any illness within the last few weeks so that we can postpone, cancel or reschedule. We thank you for your support and understanding in this tough time, if you have any further questions please feel free to contact us. Hallettstone Memorials team.

09.01.2022 TEMPORARY MARKERS. Losing a loved one is often a surreal experience. Besides grieving the loss of a family member you are forced to make decisions on the minute details of the funeral and burial of which we have minimal experience. One of those details is how the grave will be marked until a permanent headstone or monument can be placed on the grave. A temporary marker is a small memorial that marks the burial site. Most of the time, it includes the name and date of birth ...and death of your deceased loved one. Being temporary means that many people take home the marker and place it in their garden, such as our Director Therese Hallett has done for her Mum (see the gallery below). If you would be interested in a temporary marker and a vase please do not hesitate to contact our office on 9357 1500 or via email: [email protected]

04.01.2022 UPDATE ON CEMETERY VISITATIONS BY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES. "Over the Easter long weekend there was some media coverage regarding cemetery visitation for reasons other than attending a funeral, and we would like to provide further clarification for our customers. The Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) is encouraging people to delay visiting a cemetery, and to stay at home to stop the spread of coronavirus.... We understand that these are difficult times for all. If customers insist on visiting a cemetery, they must ensure that no more than their immediate household or two people (including themselves) are gathered. Physical distance has to be maintained by staying at least 1.5 metres apart. It is essential they comply with these restrictions." Please feel free to like this post and share with your loved ones.

02.01.2022 Dear Valued Clients and Families, As per Premier Daniel Andrews announcement this week it is with a heavy heart that we will temporarily working from home and will have to close our physical office starting tWednesday 5th of August at 4.00p.m. We will be available online from midday tomorrow. Please be rest assured that we have set up an office at home and we will be working nonstop to ensure we are can assist you with any new enquiries, urgent or general queries, document...ation, drawings, and inscriptions where possible. We are diverting our telephones through to Wayne Hallett’s mobile phone 0417569003 and Therese Hallett will be accessing all of your emails daily and will answer them as soon as possible. We currently have been fed little information as to whether we are classed as essential in terms of installing monuments within the cemetery and as it stands as of this morning Wednesday 5th August 2020 at 10.00am we have been told that It is unlikely that we will be allowed onto cemetery grounds for installation of monuments until further notice We are continually seeking further clarification on this matter and shall update you immediately once we hear otherwise. We understand that this is a highly emotional experience doing a monument for a loved one at the best of times and we ask if you could please be patient as we try our best to get special permissions to work in the cemetery. On behalf of all at Hallettstone Memorials, Wayne, Therese, Madison, Angelica & Zac we hope you all stay safe, healthy, and able to come through the other side.
