25.01.2022 Just finally getting a chance to go over my videos from the state squad clinic last week with Jamie Coman. All the horses jumped their socks off. Here’s candy soo g her epic 20 fence course!!

24.01.2022 Urgent - FOSTER MARE needed for two day old filly. Located South Australia Please message me/ 0417858371

24.01.2022 Day 2 update.... Another super day Barbie and lando 1 and 2nd in the 110cm speed class... Then in the 120cm Candy won again and barbie was 3rd again!! Lando jumped super in the first round (I nearly got jumped off!!) But when I warmed up he just felt a little tired so i decided not to jump him off. He is a tad on the fat side right now!! And he is refusing to drop his coat so he pretty much looks like a brown bear about to go into hibernation!!! So a very successful weekend and I need to do a shout out to super dad James who also rode and did a few super rounds on Chester. Also to the girls Mollie Taylor Jess Great job this weekend girls and to all my wonderful sponsors... *************** Ok update on day one. We miss the first class in the morning because we missed the Facebook post on Friday night saying the course walk would be 1hour earlier and start time an hour earlier. So start time of 8am not 9am. We apparently also missed the one call out on the very quite PA system that had a 30m hearing radius at 6.30am that the start time had changed! It was only the 80cm class but it was the first class for James and the girls. But the day improves with Candy winning and Barbie 3rd and Lando 5th in the 120cm with super clear rounds for all of them. Tomorrow we have a 7.30am start and I did get a special phone call to ensure I knew. So even though the time changes was a pain in the A$& the day was great with awesome weather and even better going on the Waikerie pony club oval. Bring on tomorrow. *********** Our first competition camping since Tonimbuck in March! So it’s just a Sj weekend but it’s going to be a great weekend of jumping. I sent James the hirse the dogs and the girls at 1pm today to get set up and settled in. I stayed back to teach and fridays is a 7.30pm finish. So I thought I’d be showered and in the car with Finn by 7.50...... Wrong answers Megan. So I get inside James sister was lively and stayed the afternoon with her two kids and looked after Finn so I could do my lessons as Janes had gone already. There were lots of bugs inside so I sprayed the kitchen and went up stairs to see Carla and the kids. I give Finn a feed that he insisted on taking 15mins while he sucked every last drop of moisture out of me. Then I watched the three crazy kids and cleaned up some toys while Carla packed Teri stuff into her car. Carla leaves I shower and get dressed I change Finns nappy knowing we have a two hour car ride ahead of us. Pack a few extra things I didn’t pack in the morning I to a bag We head down stairs I decide to clean up all the dead bugs Then wash the dishes put everything away while Finnis sitting in the floor with a cleaned vegimite jar purring the lid on and off. He stands up Drops jar and it smashes everywhere. Finn is a bit shocked whileexolian that glass breaks while he looks at me and nods saying hmmmm hmmmmm so I set about cleaning up the mess and get the vacuum out to finish it off. Then give Finn some nurofen for the trip as he is pulling his ears and has red cheeks and is teething. This is mildly successful and we get most it down It’s kind of like trying to worm a quick moving Shetland !! Then I have to carry finn to the kitchen as he’s a bit upset at being called a Shetland And I put the nurofen away. Finn starts to cough and chucks all down my back and his arm and the floor. So off we go clean up the mess and go and get changed. So much for a 7.50 depart. More like 8.45!!! But he chatted in the car to me for a while then was in the land I’d sleep. Once I arrived I was greeted by tow clean fluffy Russle’s and Finn couldn’t wait to snuggle up again with puppa. Let the weekend begin

17.01.2022 Fagen had his stitches out today and he has started lunging 5mins each way at trot. He continues to have Equissage and red light therepy twice a day. He had a... well earned warm shower today also. Kelly super groom keeps a very close eye on his progress. He was so happy to stretch his neck down long today..... something he found impossible to do always keeping his neck short and then pulling down really hard. I’m so happy to see his confidence grow so soon within himself. HorsemedSA Hills Equine Veterinary Clinic Equine Advancement

17.01.2022 Ok so yes it’s on my story but it’s too cute not to make a movie out of it!! Finn has shown 0 interest in riding so we haven’t pushed it at all. He sits on Nood...le for 4 seconds every couple of months and that it. Of i ask if he wants to see Noodle I get get ‘No no mummy Nu Nu is sleeping’ So when he pipes up (As I’m about to get on candy) ‘Mummy me ride candy? ‘ What was I to do. I threw him straight on!!! Candy wasn’t so sure so I pulled him off a few seconds later. Then he says I want my Nu Nu so off he went with Em and got noodle in. Then tells us he wants to take Nu Nu in the water jump so off we went.......

14.01.2022 Well as the Sa riders know I have been riding a young horse called Jesus. His breeder Robyn Mullane has a funny story as to why he’s called this. Anyway he dose have a real name Magic Park Irish Gift But we call him Jesus. ... I thought I’d let Robyn share his epic photo sequence captured by the always in the right place and the right time PYT equine photography Oh and did I mention Jesus’s dam is the FULL sister to Kirby Park Irish Jester? And His sire is Kirby Park Nantamboo who happens to also be Queen Candy’s sire? I’m pretty lucky that Robyn has a very nice little breeding program going on at Magic Park among their sheep and cropping farm and I will be riding another future star very soon. It’s so lovely to be involved with horses that are so close to our breeding program. But for now just enjoy Jesus doing his thing and walking on water !!

12.01.2022 Ok it’s late but I’ve finally got to bed and my leg is elevated!! So as the below posts show I had a Mr Bean tripping dance with a arena rake. I didn’t even fa...ll over or hit it hard but some how caught my toe on the rake as I stepped past it as it was resting up against the pink wing. I did a good job of trying sabotage my future career as a leg and ankle model. Lucky for my future job I had a text from Kellie McCleave, a Mum I had met through coaching the SA Interschool team. She offered her husbands services. So it was a case of patching myself up with gauze and vet wrap from the stables, finished a few lessons and then re arranged and cancelled a few others(well a total of 10 riders!! sorry guys) then a trip down the hill to Adelaide to see The wonderful Dr Michael McCleave From the Wakefield Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Michael did a wonderful job of multi layering the stitches And ‘megan proofing it’ In his words. I would normally put all dissolving stitches in this wound. But I don’t trust you to stay put on the couch with your leg up for the required amount of time to heal So he Megan proofed it. And did a super job. A huge thank you to Kelly for making the arrangements and thank you to Michael for fitting me in. I managed to get home just in time to do my 6.30pm group lesson and yes I had my leg elevated!! So no riding for me for at least a week But hey at least I didn’t do any serious damage. The video is a little bit gory in parts but the kind of gory you just have to keep watching. Enjoy

12.01.2022 We love supporting our local events. Can’t wait to compete this weekend!!

07.01.2022 Little Jesus just cruising through his warm up trot with taylor fuller before I get on. The warm up is so important And since I’m so busy in order to be able ...to ride enough horses in my morning Taylor gets on for at least 15 min per horse to walk trot and canters around on a long rein. So if I ride 8 horses it cuts down my riding time by 2 hours!!! This means we don’t have to start each day at stupid O’clock. Finn is in training to be my warm up rider. #startemyoung But we just need to convince him that helmets are fun to wear.

05.01.2022 I sent my mare to Megan & team after getting a deep eye ulcer requiring lots of eye drops per day + pain meds & mask cleaned out regularly to keep clean, out of... the rain, away from dirt & dust etc.... warned by vet it likely wouldn’t heal fast or even properly at first I expected 2-3 weeks of treatment, vet warned 4 weeks possible. Their diligence had my girl given the all clear in 1 WEEK!!!! To go from pretty free range living to night stable & day yard was huge for my mare, after a stressy start Megan knew just where to put her & who with...she was calm as a cucumber, infact didn’t really want to leave her buddies on our 1 week vet check!! Having gone to Megan for some years now for lessons, 5**** also! I always knew ‘if’ required just where I’d send for rehab/treatment, blown away by how fast she healed under your care! Added bonus my grubby grey has super shiny white legs!! put me to shame Thank you team Hallmark Farm
