18.01.2022 Our Black Shouldered Kites are extremely lucky to have a predator free environment to call home. Living on a diet of mainly Swamp Rat and House Mice our three family groups can continuously breed throughout the year. This adult was supervising its two juveniles.

17.01.2022 Apologies for the poor photo but I thought it would be worth the share. We have had two Spotted Harrier in the reserve for the last month. These rare visitors to the enclosure can be seen hunting very low over the grasslands. Look for the larger female bird with a longer wing span than a Whistling Kite!

16.01.2022 The eastern barred bandicoot is a small, omnivorous, nocturnal marsupial. Unfortunately the mainland subspecies of eastern barred bandicoot is currently listed... as extinct in the wild.
