25.01.2022 DD acting all grown up!! DD has been going amazingly lately, we took him on the float for his first outing on Monday and he handled it like a pro! I am so excited about my new saddle! 23.01.2022 Well, the Melbourne cup parade went well (even if we did get soaked through ). Rory and I had a great time, and Phil was a great ambassador for retired racehor...ses and what they can achieve in their life after racing. We even made The Border Mail ! A huge thank you to Louise Allen and Rory Hamilton for letting me ride their very special boy down Swanson St. Phil may have left his run a bit late, but he finally made the Spring Racing Carnival Thanks to the rest of my Team for making this day happen! 23.01.2022 Scots Equestrian Interschool Lusty blew me away on Saturday! Started off by winning our Novice 2b and placing 3rd in the novice 2a (even with a course error) Having 2 tests straight after each other I wasn’t surprised when I forgot something, but other than that I was really pleased with how he handled the harder tests! ... Our showjumping is getting better and better, placing 4th and 7th with only one rail down in the second round (again straight after each other!) Our Mount and Rider was awesome with Lusty managing to hold it together even though it was in the XC warm up area! We ended placing 3rd! I am so pleased with Lusty’s progress and can’t wait for the future! Thankyou to The Scots School Albury for running this event, it is so nice to be out and representing St Paul’s College. 19.01.2022 Moyhu PC Horse Trials was a great first event for 2021 with Lusty. We had a lovely dressage test with him being a little tense in the first half but soon settled and gave me a great ride to give us 80.77% to put us in comfortable lead. With only 1 rider rail in the showjumping followed by a clear and well under time cross country round! Overall we were the Open Grade 3 winners. I am so happy with how Lusty is coming along in his work, very excited for our future. As usual Lus...ty pulled up feeling fantastic with his amazing PJF+ (this stuff is actually magic!) He ended the day with a good covering of Tuffrock Poultice on his legs! Thanks to Moyhu pc for running a great event and to all the volunteers - can’t run without you guys! 11.01.2022 Yes I know this post is a little late but Mansfield HT was another great weekend with a good test. Unfortunately we were the only ones stuck in the rain - quite literally started when I rode in and stopped when I finished. I was amazed our test put us into 2nd position which I followed up with a rider rail in showjumping and an awesome clearXC to finish up in 3rd place. 10.01.2022 2020 What a year we have had! With a smokey start to the year we introduced Butler Butler and Fort Cluster (DD) and managed to squeeze 1 competition in before heading into lockdown. During Lockdown we said goodbye to a once in a life time horse, our beloved Uncle Phil. We also said goodbye to Elizabeth McMaster special Mingara Lovebug. ... A couple of weeks later in June we welcomed our beautiful Lusty and we have been getting to know each other since day one! A big thank you to Courtney for introducing us to this gem! And the last member we welcomed to the team was Buddy, I am very thankful for his owner for allowing me to ride him! 08.01.2022 Albury Horse trials EVA80 Lusty blew me away again today in the dressage and showjumping. A great test leaving us 2nd by just over 1% in quite a competitive field. We then had another amazing round of showjumping to continue to be in 2nd. Out on Cross Country Lusty thought he had gone back to his racing days, had a few green stops and then we almost got hit by a gator to end up dropping us out of the placings.
