13.01.2022 Batteries not included ... It is Christmas day today, And all are full of cheer, But I lay freezing on the step,... I always sleep right here. I never get to go inside, And join in all the fun, I'm what they call a yard dog, When all is said and done. They have given me some scraps, I think it was last week, Now laying in the snow today, I am feeling tired and weak. I can hear the children playing, As my head lay on my paws, This time just last year, I was a gift from Santa Claus. I don't know what I did wrong, To be shut out in the yard, I only lived inside 6 months, Since then my life's been hard. The snow is falling heavy now, I'm just a block of ice, And when I breathe the cold cold air, My lungs feel like a vice. A miracle then came to pass, An Angel did appear, She glowed,and I could feel the heat, As she floated near. She reached her hand and beckoned, It was such a sight to see, She smiled and said "Good Dog, It is time to come with me. I will take you to the bridge, Where all the Good Dogs go You can play there in the sunshine, There will be no freezing snow." My bag of bones stood up then, I shook the snow from off my fur, And,as I slowly followed, This is what I said to her. "I am not a Good Dog though, In that I think you're wrong, No one would shut a Good Dog, In the garden for so long." The Angel turned and smiled, As I walked with head hung low, Then she said"I'm sorry, I thought that you would know. You really are a Good Dog, The reason why your time is up, It is just unfortunate, You were born a Christmas pup." I now live at the Rainbow Bridge, And I am filled with joy, But remember this at Christmas time, A dog is NOT a toy. 09.01.2022 Assassinated by Words: One of the fastest ways to self-destruct is to gossip! Yet, there are people who just can’t seem to help themselves and feel the need to ...talk about everyone. They hear the slightest bit of news, and they simply can’t wait to share it with the first person they meet. You might think as long as you are telling the truth as you know it -then it’s okay! No harm done! Perhaps you saw a friend’s spouse having what appeared to be an intimate lunch and ran and told someone. Then they told someone else and the incident was told over and overruining this man’s reputation, causing pain to his wife and family and others. But what you didn’t know was that lady at the intimate dinner was his sister sharing personal heartache. Sticking your nose in someone else’s business can do a lot of damage and cause unnecessary pain. Make no mistake, the disease of gossip, is real and deadlynot only for the people who are assassinated by wordsbut for you as well because there will be no gossipers in heaven! The Bible says in Psalm 101:5, Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, Him I will destroy; The one who has a haughty look and a proud heart, Him I will not endure. God makes it very clear over and over again that He has no tolerance for gossipers. People who get pleasure from discussing other people's problemsare infected with a fatal illness! But over time, the excitement wears down. You start taking them for granted, and with all the hustle and bustle of life, distance comes between you, and you expect them to just understand when you no longer make them number one in your life. Then you wonder why your relationship just isn’t as exciting and wonderful as it used to be and question what could have possibly gone wrong? This scenario is the same for new Christians who fall in love with Jesus. They are so exuberant in their new found faith that they share Jesus with everyone they meet. But as life gets busy and they slack off on their alone time with God . . . their love relationship with Him suffers. Before they even realize it, they no longer read their Bible, or even pray. The number one ingredient absolutely necessary to maintain any love relationship . . . is communication! And your relationship with God is no different.
