03.01.2022 What inspire me to create this page...? In Easter 2017, my kids, Darren (10 years old), Thaddeus (3 years old) and I, were lucky enough to travel to Larantuka, ...Flores Indonesia to do a pilgrimage. While Larantuka was an eye-opening experience in itself to see how different their world is compared to ours, upon arriving there we quickly realized that the people were much poorer. I was so taken aback when I saw the condition of the houses they were living in, but what really struck me as extraordinary was that the children, some who were disabled, who lived off such little food, which was still generously provided by the Sisters despite their own struggles, were always giggling, running and sharing their beautiful smile. These children have dreams like everyone else I know, to be a doctor, to be a teacher, to be a nurse, but by chance they are living in an area of extreme poverty. I am really touched, moved and inspired by these children as they can still share their beautiful sincere smile while they are suffering. I feel very blessed that we, who live in Australia, have abundance. It is the right time for us to bring joy and happiness to the lives of others and hopefully create something that can provide long lasting joy and happiness to those who have lived a much harder life than the one we have been fortunate enough to have.
