04.01.2022 Meet Wayne, the Principal and founder of Hampton Law Services. Wayne was admitted as a Solicitor in September 2004. He was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia. Wayne’s 16 years of experience in nursing, mostly in emergency and intensive care, has given him an edge in understanding personal injuries, interpreting medical records and reports and communicating effectively with expert medical witnesses. Whilst completing his legal studi...es, he worked in medical administration in a private hospital and a general practice medical centre. He also worked as a paramedic on a mine site in the Gulf of Carpentaria. Wayne is a member of the Queensland Law Society and the Australian Lawyers Alliance. He is passionate about protecting the rights of ordinary Queenslanders. In 2004, Wayne wrote the update of the 300 page Workers’ Compensation chapter of the Lawyers’ Practice Manual, a publication of Thomson Law Book Co, used by professionals throughout Queensland. He completed an update of the same publication in 2008 and again in 2016. In his personal life, Wayne is an active supporter of the Watoto Child Care Ministry, which supports African children. He not only financially supports this charity but he also donates his time through offering legal advice to the charity on a range of topics as needed. He also personally sponsors an African child. Wayne has a beautiful fiance and is a loving father, step-father and a doting grandfather.

02.01.2022 Please help save our CTP scheme in Qld. You may be aware that as part of RACQ’s opposing ReThink CTP campaign, they’ve established a Citizen’s Jury to review Queensland’s CTP scheme. The ALA believe this review is irrevocably conflicted, as it is run and funded by RACQ. However, while we wait for the outcome of this review, the most valuable thing that everyday people can do is to share the ALA's campaign widely with their networks, and oppose any changes or initiatives to... make Queensland’s CTP scheme into a no-fault one. Once the Citizen’s Jury report is released, the ALA will be able to determine next steps for this campaign, and how everyday people may support this.
