23.01.2022 Hi, With the Covid-19 restrictions improving every day, it is time to hold our Annual General Meeting to not only nominate and elect the committee but to also discuss new ideas. This is a terrific opportunity for any member to join the committee which could be one of our most exciting years with the proposed move of the clubhouse and courts gaining some serious momentum! To continue the success of Hampton Park Tennis Club, we need dedicated members to join the committee to as...sist with the year ahead. Nomination forms and notice of motion forms can be accessed from any committee member or they have been emailed to all members, please note any notice of motions must be emailed to the tennis club within 7 business days prior to the meeting. And the BIG date is: Tuesday 21st July 2020 7.30pm Location: Clubrooms See more

23.01.2022 Hello, It's been some time since the committee has been in contact and whilst we don't have any dates on re-opening just yet, below is an extract from Tennis Victoria, basically saying hopefully from 28th September we can have some social play, under very strict conditions: ‘Following the State Government's announcement of the COVID-19 Recovery Roadmap, staff at Tennis Victoria have been in constant communication with the Government to gain clarity on what the Roadmap means f...or tennis. We are now able to share the following updates: METRO MELBOURNE Stage 4 restrictions have been extended to 28 September 2020. Tennis activity is not permitted during this time. We are advocating hard for a return to play from 28 September, but do not yet have confirmation of this from the Government. We will update you as soon as we know more. What does this mean for tennis from potentially from 28/9? Singles play with a member of your household or another household. Doubles play with three other participants from your household or one other household. Small group coaching with up to five members from two households’ However, as a club we will wait, patiently, for the council to approve this and as soon as we can we will inform you and open up the courts again! On another matter, for the past 2 years, perhaps longer, there has been word that we were looking at moving locations with new courts, new clubhouse with all the trimmings and security lighting to name a few. Our new location was pencilled in to be situated behind the High school in Hampton Park on the land owned partly by council and partly by the Government (school). However, recently we were informed the school and council couldn't agree on terms and our proposed move is now off and we will be staying at Robert Booth Reserve where we have been since 1962! This is very frustrating for the committee, to 'waste' the last couple of years with no planning or upgrades to our existing clubhouse and courts. Our immediate plan(once lockdown is over) is to hold our postponed AGM, get back playing tennis again and ensure all members stay safe and healthy. Until then, stay the course and we will be in touch as soon as we know more. Kind Regards, H.P.T.C Committee

22.01.2022 With the State Government relaxing some restrictions, we can now have a MAXIMUM of 20 members within the grounds at tennis!! We still require you to maintain all of the health regulations and social distancing from previous correspondence but we can now have all courts in use!! However at this stage the clubhouse will still remain closed. Until more restrictions are lifted, we again request that once your play is finished all members move from the premises and not socialise o...ff the court within the grounds. Once we have more information regarding competition we will advise as soon as possible. Continue staying safe and it's great to be back! See more

18.01.2022 Just a reminder that the list for Winter teams are now up in the tennis club for both seniors and juniors. If you interested in playing next season, winter, please write your name down very soon! Or contact Kylie 0425 388 873 seniors or Ann 0449 974 649 for juniors.

17.01.2022 Hi All, As the Hampton Park Tennis Club is up and running again after the easing of Victorian Government Covid-19 restrictions, this is a gentle reminder to all Members on two subjects. HPTC fees are now due. The Club cannot operate without the income from Membership fees so we would ask that they be paid as soon as possible. If you are suffering financial hardship, please contact the Membership Secretary to determine if alternate arrangements are available. An attachment tha...t is required to be completed was emailed again to all members, whilst payment for both membership and ball money can be paid on-line. Due to Victorian Government Covid-19 regulations for contact tracing, we are required to keep a register of all people on the HPTC premises at all times. This is mandatory and we ask that All Members abide by this requirement. If the HPTC is found to be in breach of these requirements the Club could suffer hefty fines and/or be closed. To assist, we have a QR code which can be read from most phone cameras, which will allow you and your guests to ‘Check In’ at the Courts. If you are unable to Check In using the QR code, you can also use your web browser to Check In at https://visitsafe.at/hamptonparktc. Alternatively, you can send a text message to Ron Lamb using the details on the Entry Gate.

17.01.2022 Hi Due to the covid-19 restrictions, the AGM will be postponed. At the moment, the tennis courts are open with all members to follow all of the regulations put into place.

15.01.2022 Whilst we all agree these are crazy times, when we take a moment and consider the big picture, it is quite a confronting time and drastic measures are needed to be taken to ensure the safety of not only our members, family and friends but all Australians! Therefore, we have decided, until further notice, that the Hampton Park Tennis club will be closed indefinitely effective immediately. This is not a decision we have taken lightly, however with the stage 3 restrictions reintroduced and the health and safety of everyone our priority, the courts and surroundings will be closed until further notice. Once we have further information, we will send another update. Until then, please please follow all health regulations, stay safe and healthy and be assured once we receive notification, we will return bigger and better!

14.01.2022 Hi Unfortunately we have received an email from council, see below, stating that the tennis courts are indefinitely closed. Whilst we are very disappointed with this decision as we too love playing tennis and all of the benefits, we as the committee understand the importance of the situation and fully support the council. Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us and of course when we hear that we can open the courts again we will be advising all memb...ers. Until then please follow the health guidelines and stay healthy. Good afternoon, Following on from Premier Daniel Andrew’s announcement on Coronavirus (COVID-19) shutdown measures across Victoria, the City of Casey’s Sports Pavilions will be temporarily closed until further notice. For more information and updates visit the City of Casey website : www.casey.vic.gov.au/coronavirus If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact the Sport and Community Connections team on 9705 5200 or via email at [email protected]. 08.01.2022 Hi It is with great disappointment that I inform you that the tennis club will be closed due to lockdown. Hopefully by Thursday we will have it open again!!

06.01.2022 Morning, As most of you are aware, The Premier has just announced that Victoria will continue on a State of Emergency for at least another 4 weeks, midnight 11th May. This will mean, for us, that the tennis courts will stay closed for at least that time. We appreciate everyone following these regulations and staying away, and like all members we can't wait until this ban is lifted so we can return to playing the sport we all enjoy. Once we read the ban has been lifted and bot...h Progress and the Council give us the green light, we'll be in contact and open the gates as soon as we can. Until then, follow the health guidelines and stay safe! See more

05.01.2022 Hi As most of you are aware, the State Government have slightly eased restrictions, in particular to tennis from midnight last night. After chatting to council this morning, as they oversee all sporting facilities on Robert Booth Reserve, they are working as quickly as possible to advise us what we can and can’t do. It is likely at some stage in the near future we will be able to have a MAXIMUM of ten people/members within the grounds, and absolutely no more. This may or may ...not include the clubhouse being opened. However, these are only speculations as we all waiting for the council to confirm. Please continue being patient as everyone has so far, as we are not far away from playing again! Be assured once we are advised, we will pass this on to members! See more

04.01.2022 Hi, Further to our email regarding membership fees and ball money earlier in the week, we have some great news. We have been able to source a portable EFT machine for this weekend and will have a committee member down at the club to assist you with the payment of fees. Our junior coordinator will be at the club this Saturday morning for all junior fees and ball money and our membership secretary will be down there between 1.00pm and 3.00pm this Saturday to assist the seniors ...with their payments. Please ensure you have completed your membership form, although your details probably haven't changed we are still required to complete all details to Tennis Victoria, every year! For those that cannot make it, please pay on-line asap as the bank details are on the membership form which has been sent earlier. Kind Regards, H.P.T.C Committee

04.01.2022 Hello It has been far too long since we have seen anyone down at tennis due to COVID-19. However, that is going to change very soon with today's announcement! Whilst the Government has suggested we can open up from tomorrow, we are bound by both Tennis Victoria and more so the council, to when we can open up. Once we receive written notification, we will organise a small working bee with the current committee to ensure the club grounds are clean, tidy and safe. We are also wo...rking on a COVID safe plan for the tennis club which includes an attendance record both to be completed prior to opening. I anticipate we will be contacted Tuesday that we can open then we will require a couple of days to complete the above. All going well we should be open by Saturday at the latest, however we will advise once we know more. Be assured, we are as keen to get out there as everyone, however we have guidelines that must be followed prior to opening which unfortunately will delay us opening the courts any earlier. We will be in touch very soon and we thank you for your patience and understanding! See more

02.01.2022 Due to the corona virus, council have advised us tonight, to suspend all tennis including Tuesday mid week, Wednesday and Thursday night, Thursday morning and weekend competition until further notice. Whilst we are disappointed with this decision, we are fully aware of the big picture with everyone's health a priority. With this news the clubhouse will be permanently closed. However members can still play socially, in small numbers! With finals this Saturday, Kylie will contact the team captain when more information comes available. Once this ban is lifted we will advise members and look forward to the courts being full again. Until then we thank you in advance for your understanding!

02.01.2022 Hi As most of you are aware, we are in a State of Disaster and as such, more restrictions have been enforced such as the tennis club closing, effective immediately. Hopefully this 6 week stretch will clear up the COVID-19 cases and we can open up and return to social tennis, competition tennis and just hanging out again! Until then, please follow all health guidelines and stay safe!
