25.01.2022 Get to know us at Hancock Insurance this week, say hi to Ian! For many, Ian’s friendly face is one that you would recognize. He is the pioneer and founder of the business and has been a dedicated member of the local community for over 3 decades. Whilst Ian has taken a step back in the business as he heads towards retirement, we’re still lucky enough to have his help working a couple of days a week whilst he adjusts to all his newfound leisure time. ... Ian will officially retire towards the end of next year, which will in turn give him more time to improve his golf game. Heck, he might even be able to beat his son finally... Until then feel free to pop in or give him a call anytime, he loves a yarn!

23.01.2022 Get to know us at Hancock Insurance this week, meet Tom! Tom is the new Director of Hancock Insurance having recently taken over the family business from his father Ian, after 35 years. Tom knows his stuff. He started his career working with an insurer, then moved on to work across two of the largest brokerages in the world looking after the insurance needs for some of Adelaide’s biggest companies. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience as well as access to some really... great products. Relocating to McLaren Vale almost 12 months ago was the best decision he ever made. Combining work and life with some of the best wineries in the world on your doorstep really is living the dream! If you ever need any insurance advice, give Tom a call. 18.01.2022 Get to know us at Hancock Insurance this week, we’re introducing Hayley! Not many of you would have yet met or spoken to Hayley, that’s because she’s been a busy little bee behind the scenes. She’s currently the manager of marketing and head of HR among many other things. Not least of which is chief baker.... with a bun in the oven due early next year She is also busy working elsewhere at the moment as an apprenticeship consultant, however will be taking some time off fr...om that when the baby comes in the new year. As we are a small family business, you will start to see both Hayley (and our future new addition) around the place a lot more in 2021, whether that’s in the office or out and about around the Vale

13.01.2022 New beginnings for Hancock Insurance... Hard to believe just over 10 months ago we bought our beautiful home and relocated our lives to McLaren Vale with the plan to take over the family business. Now here we are, albeit 4 months later than planned (thanks Covid), feeling truly grateful for the opportunity and excited for the adventure that lies ahead. Yesterday, we were officially passed the baton after 35 years with Ian at the helm, and became business owners. ... A huge thank you to everyone that has been a part of the journey, we are very excited about continuing to support our local community and meet some new faces along the way. Stay tuned - we have been working on a fresh new look for Hancock Insurance 2020 and beyond and can’t wait to share it with you!

12.01.2022 HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2020 was a strange old one. Certainly a rollercoaster for all of us but we still have plenty to be grateful for. For us, it was a year of growth and change. ... As you may know, COVID slightly delayed Tom taking the reins of the business, however the handover has officially happened and Ian is enjoying his transition to retirement Throughout all of the challenges 2020 threw at us, we finished the year off on a high by being recognised with a Business Excellence Award from the Insurance House Advance team. Instead of the usual glitz and glamour, we gratefully accepted the award virtually and enjoyed the ceremony from the comfort of home with our loved ones and our favourite bubbles Although it’s been different, it’s been challenging and it’s been weird, it was a really nice way to end the year and we couldn’t be more proud and excited for what’s to come. We just want to thank you all for being part of our journey. We wish you a very Happy New Year and we look forward to working with you in 2021

04.01.2022 Get to know us at Hancock Insurance this week, meet Hugo Hugo wears many hats in the family business. He is in charge of WHS (Work and Home Security), is our CFO (Chief Fetch Officer), CRO (Couch Relaxation Officer) and just all round good boy. Hugo is a very busy boy. In between his morning walk, games of fetch, boofing at passers by, patrolling the backyard and keeping the resident chooks in line, he barely has time to fit in his 20 hours of sleep!... If you see Hugo about town, please come and say hello. He loves to meet new fur friends and their humans and would welcome a little scratch on the chin or a belly rub from you
