25.01.2022 Lisa & Marcus in Lorne Back when we didn’t know what this year had in store for us Just a little update - we’re here for you even though we stopped running family & newborn sessions and commercial shoots involving meeting with people at this stage. If you have an elopement planned and it’s really important for you to make it happen right now, under Stage 3 restrictions (regional Vic), we can help you out with video & photography but we would also have to be your witnesses... and you’d have to be wearing masks outside of your legal ceremony. But we’re planning some really awesome things beyond the 6 weeks

25.01.2022 This is how we felt when we got the negative rona test results, whoop whoop! All cleared, what a relief On the session with Britt and Tom we asked them to imagine and perform their bridal party entrance omg we absolutely cant wait to see and capture it haha! 23.01.2022 Whoa what a start to the week! As we’re getting eaten by anxiety waiting for our covid test results (got a text we have 24-48 hours more of waiting ) we thought we would focus on the good things and let you know about a few updates! Last week, we put together and sent out a big email with a ton of useful FAQs for all our brides and grooms to be. So if your wedding is anytime in the future, you should have received it - if you haven’t, please check your spam :) It has all th...e questions we’ve been asked so far answered plus all the advice on how to go about planning a few different scenarios based on what the restrictions may be at any given time. Hope you guys find it helpful and if you have any other questions, we’re here for you, ready to help out! Also, we really want to thank so much all our couples who got in touch to discuss their options and came up with alternative solutions for their weddings. You guys are the best clients one can dream of and we’re so so grateful you are so flexible and amazing about working around what’s currently happening. Legends! 22.01.2022 Last Friday we welcomed our new venture @elopementsbythesea to the world (together with our cool as mate @kateurencelebrant) and we couldn’t be more excited about it! We have some really great collaborations coming your way so our couples can have a truly wonderful experience but in the meantime we went 180 degrees - Regional Vic is coming out of lockdown! We are so happy about it but this also means re-adjusting to new rules and finding out what we are and aren’t allowed to do as a business because things are different to what they were pre-lockdown 2.0 so just give us some time and we’ll get back to you about your newborn, family or couple sessions hope you all will enjoy seeing your friends or family again

20.01.2022 We had a pleasure of hanging out with these wonderful people a few times now (swipe to see :) and every time we photograph them, we forget we’re at work because they’re so easy-going, fun and in love! So when Liz and Brad asked us to photograph their sweet family because they’ve just welcomed baby Isabelle, we were so happy and honoured! Little Isabelle had a perfect timing of being born and having her photos taken in between lockdowns And here she is, surrounded by the most loving family (including her super cool & clever older sisters)

14.01.2022 Okay. We don't know how to express it, but maybe you know that feeling too - we think it's pretty difficult to actually represent ourselves on socials and reflect exactly who we are and what we're like in real life, simply by using visuals and words. But we keep on trying (when we remember to post)! We are deep thinkers (Hanna mostly haha, Zach occasionally ) and have lots of opinions and/or thoughts about different things in life or in the world. Buuut what we...'ve learnt over the years of working with heaps of people in different environments and through years of travelling around the world (& meeting others whilst staying anywhere from mud huts to tents to hostels to luxurious hotels) that we are open minded and we can always find something that connects us with other people, doesn't matter how different their opinions or likes/dislikes are to ours. We think that a good laugh and a drink (whether it's milk*, coffee, tea, beer or a fancy cocktail) is often a common ground That's why whenever we meet others, we like to keep it lighthearted, drop some puns and have a good time! And, we sometimes bring some wine to our sessions because there is always an occasion to celebrate! It was a day after Tom's birthday and Alex & Tom are getting married in a few months so we couldn't miss the opportunity for a small cheers on the beach ______ *milk because when we were in Rwanda, we were sitting in front of 'milk bars' and cheer each other with glasses of milk! You literally just go out for a glass of milk, isn't that cool?! See more

14.01.2022 How are you all feeling at the moment? Are you seeing silver linings in the lockdown 2.0 or is it one big struggle? It’s okay to feel all sorts of things Over here we’re going through lots of mood swings - once we’re happy about the lockdown because we can slow down, simply be together, catch up on work and take up little projects around our home but then we remember about our clients and their special occasions that have to wait to be celebrated, our friends and our family who we can’t see and the trips we can’t go on and we’re completely shattered. We look back at lots of photos and films though (like this one of Sarah and Gerry ) and remember that good times, even though they might be different to what we’ve known, will be here before we know it!

08.01.2022 Well we can’t say we didn’t see that coming but lockdown 2.0 is definitely not the best news... but we hope that you, like us, got your fix of nature, *socially distanced* catchups with friends & family and some yummy food at your local cafes and restaurants At least the lockdown makes all those things, which are usually taken for granted, very special. And we are so grateful we were able to have the last few weeks filled with some really amazing photo and video shoots an...d even squeezed in a couple of elopements and newborn shoots Now we’ll be taking a break from all the shoots but we’ll be here, at home, editing the last few weeks’ worth of projects and staying in touch with you all behind the scenes. We are staying on top of our editing (finally have enough time to edit as we go, without things piling up ), scheduling and doing sessions that have been booked long before lockdown and those new ones too, and finishing off the renos of our caravan which we started during the lockdown

Hands down we suck at sharing things on socials, updating our portfolio and trying to publish the blog posts from the shoots but the good things is that this is because we invest all our time into the actual sessions, planning them and delivering them to all of you, lovely folks always looking for silver linings!

03.01.2022 Enjoy some beautiful music by Matt Baird in this little vid filmed by us at the Dont Poke the BEAR studio :) Good tunes always brighten our mood (not that our moods are not brightened af by the fact we're coming out of lockdown haha!) *don't you worry - we were staying safe + masks are allowed to be taken off when the ability to see the mouth is essential for communication/work.

02.01.2022 We hope all the dads had a wonderful day yesterday! We couldn’t spend it with our dads (one is in Europe and one is in Melbourne ) but we sent them some real yummy things to thank them for being amazing. We also kept all those children in mind who don’t have dads in their lives and those dads who can’t be with/dont have their children. We are so grateful we come across so many awesome dads during our sessions we can see the special connections children have with their fathers and it’s beautiful to witness and capture. We always hope that one day the littles can look back at their childhood photos and say yep, my dad has always been an absolute legend!
