25.01.2022 Now we have all had a chance to recover a little from an amazing weekend of dance at Simply Adelaide West Coast Swing 2019, we have some shout outs to do! Firstly thank you to everyone that came along and supported this event and helped make it such a big success. Especially Kevin John for organising it all. Secondly huge round of applause to everyone who competed or performed over the weekend, especially our newcomers. Was amazing to see so many smiling HappensDance faces ju...mping in and having a go. Thirdly a huge congratulations to everyone who made finals and those who got places: Newcomer, 1st - Niccy Canning & Nathan Sawley, 2nd - Gem Erald & Stephen Williams and 3rd - Jill Forster & Luke Marshall Novice, 2nd - Samantha Rowe and 3rd - Zoe Boling Intermediate, 2nd - Tanya Dodi and Advanced, 1st - Bec Wilksch, 2nd - Craig Schubert. Again, it was just so great to see so many of the HappensDance community out and about over the weekend - I know we can't wait for next year

25.01.2022 Hi Dance Friends, Were super excited to announce that as of 30 July, WERE BACK!! Thats right, well be holding weekly classes from next Thursday night :D Weve been itching to get back on the dance floor, and if you have too then wed love to have you along. Our first class back will be FREE for everyone. Therell be a slight change in our regular class structure for a couple of weeks. Firstly, beginners class will be casual rather than a 6 week course this will hopeful...ly give our existing students an opportunity to ease back into things, and new students are of course welcome too. If you had a 6 week beginners course that you hadnt completed, youre welcome to come along to the casual classes, and our next 6 week course when it starts. Also for any class passes we are waiving the expiry, so please feel free to use up those remaining classes. Therell also be no bridging class until our regular course starts up again. Well also be taking some extra precautions as the risk due to COVID-19 is ever present, even in SA. Well need you to sign a form on your way in. Hand sanitiser is available, and we encourage everyone to use it. Well have face masks available for purchase for $2 which anyone is free to wear. Were also more than happy for anyone that wants to dance as a couple for the evening (i.e. not rotate during classes) to do so. See you on the dance floor! Rebecca, Sam and the HD team

24.01.2022 Hi All anyone who is thinking about getting tickets, just a heads up that Grazing Box orders close at 7pm tonight. You can still get tickets and tastings but it’s then strictly BYO food, no food is sold on the day. There is a group of 12 going from HappensDance at this point so feel free to come join in the fun!

18.01.2022 Hi All, Megan’s new business is running a launch event on the 20th of Feb which is a Picnic in botanic park. The Lane Winery will be there with wine tasting and Happenstance Distillery (not HappensDance) will have gin tasting. There is also live music and outdoor games. ... We will put together a HappensDance picnic group and anyone that would like to join us simply book your tickets through the link on the event and then Megan will put us all together.

06.01.2022 Hi all of our HappensDance family, Regarding COVID-19, we have decided it is best for us to cancel classes for a few weeks. We really don't want to be alarmist or overreact, though given the recent increase in SA cases yesterday and today, we'd rather be proactive than reactive, and if it's not this week it would likely be next week with the way things are headed. For our 6 week beginners, your passes are able to restart whenever we are able to be back up and running, there w...ill be no expiry on them. If you've already done 3 weeks of your 6 week course, you'll be welcome to start again at week 1 at no extra cost. For our 10 week class passes, there is no expiry on them at all. Please keep an eye on our social media over the coming weeks, especially if you are social distancing or isolating, as we will be sharing some fun online content to keep you all entertained for free.
