25.01.2022 Wowwwwww...where has the time gone??! We're already into February and this year is underway! Here are our "Top 3 Tips for Prioritising Your Time": Do less better ~ instead of running around like a mad person trying to get everything done, have a realistic look at your responsibilities and cut them back so that you can focus on what you really want / need to be doing and do it well! There is no point doing many things poorly when you can do some things brilliantly!!... Grow your business while you maintain it ~ separate your tasks into tasks that you need to do to maintain your business and tasks that will help you grow your business. Both are equally important! Now make time each day to do at least one growth task and don't get caught stuck solely on maintenance tasks! Focus your energy ~ know when you have the most creative energy. For me that is first thing in the morning, so that is when I'll focus on doing those growth tasks that require that extra brain power! The afternoon is the perfect time to switch into the routine tasks which you can do in your sleep! And opportunity is a chance for us to reevaluate and redefine who we are and what we want to do. If you're in the unfortunate position to have lost your job then here are some questions that might help in your hunt for a new job: ... relook at your skillset: What are you passionate about versus what is your experience? Maybe there are roles you could apply for that you'd previously ruled out because they weren't your ideal. refresh your CV: You need to stand out in a long line of CVs being submitted for roles. Redo your CV using a graphic software and have a LinkedIn profile you can submit as well. visual impact: A lot of employers might want to do a zoom call interview so make sure your background is clear and uncluttered, that you have dressed to impress and above all that you are able to communicate in a space where you won't be interrupted :) be positive: I know it's a lot to ask but in your chatting with any potential employer they'll be wanting to find someone that not just ticks the skillset boxes but also exudes confidence, organisation and friendliness. 19.01.2022 #happiehack ~ Routine When my world has been tipped upside down the first thing I do is plan a new routine. Sometimes they need to be flexible and other times they are very time specific. A routine is there to help you...not make you feel like you've got a ball and chain wrapped around your leg. A good routine should cover these areas:... Work / Study Exercise Homeschooling (haha) Family time Home chores Free time!! Other (personal development, extra bubble baths) You will have your regular weekly activities and then extra tasks that come up. Planning "when you will do what" helps protect your time and gives you a space to get the work done. Avoiding constant distractions of communication (phone, email, mobile, online messaging etc) and grouping similar activities together when you are in workflow is a must. Limiting how long you'll spend on a task is important. Sometimes it's better to come back to it another time because extra times isn't always quality. If you're avoiding a task and procrastinating...just start it! Do 10 minutes and before you know it an hour will have past. "There is no time like the present".
