10.01.2022 2020 CHRISTMAS APPEAL PLEASE READ Happy days has proudly became a sponsor and working collaboratively with Parkerville Children and Youth Care. Parkerville Children and Youth Care is a Not-For-Profit organisation located throughout Western Australia. It is their mission to protect, care, advocate and promote recovery for children and young people who have experienced a range of traumatic events, including physical, sexual, emotional abuse, neglect, exposure to domestic ...violence, and/or homelessness. Christmas can be a sad and lonely time for the children and young people in our care. For some, Christmas can evoke some powerful emotions like missing family and feelings of not belonging or for the little one, worry of how will Santa find me? They are approximately just under 300 children in their foster care system, some which are in care and some at risk of being homeless. One to many of you ask me. BUT With your support we can show them they are not forgotten. I’m looking to get as many people on board to donate a Christmas gift bag ranging from around $20/30. Filled with whatever you see fit for your chosen age and please write on your tag which age you have chosen.. the age groups is from age 4-20 (no names will be addressed or given in order to protect the privacy of the children) This is something that I hold very close to my heart and I ask you all to dig deep and share a little love this Christmas, many hands make light work. 09.01.2022 New friendships Over the last few weeks myself and this little guy have been working on building a secure and lasting attachment. Making an effective routine to help make the transition of first time being away from mummy and daddy go more smoothly and helping to reduce the separation anxiety on both parts. It’s save to say we are now big and little best buds. So proud of his progress during this transition period in his life. ...
