19.01.2022 Looking back I realised I never posted the final image of the enchanting Janga! I know I have raved in about this dog before but I was on awe at the level of obedience this dog displayed! Janga had an incredible bond with his family, a very loyal guardian. I took every last second I could to photograph Janga in the garden outside of our 11th century French chateau. 17.01.2022 Hey hey it's Sunday! What better way to wake up then with puppies at your door! That's what happened to me when I was in France at #barkjour - one morning we woke up and the castle was full of doggys to photograph! I couldn't think of waking up any better way and dream of doing it all over again one day! This is Lilou! 7 years old and an extremely talented Pomeranian, the best dancer in France I have been told! She had more moves then jagger and could pull off a bunch of ...amazing tricks! She certainly knew how to make everyone smile! I was lucky enough to snap this photo on the rooftop of our 11th century French Chateau surrounded by other amazing pet photographers! 17.01.2022 2018 has been full of puppies so far! Since moving to the Gold Coast I have also started dog walking and doing some basic training here and there. I make it a point to photograph all the new pups I meet and document our time out together for their owners. Meet Biggie and Buddy! 11.01.2022 Kokoda reminded me of something today... Always stop for a while and just enjoy the moment. Just be. Take on your surroundings, be still and just be. Whatever madness is going on around, find time in your day to appreciate the little things. With another dog jumping in the water around him, Kokoda was enjoying a rather long moment just wading in the water, enjoying the fact he could finally be in the water! In my experience dogs are always moving in water, splashing and runn...ing around but what I saw today was a dog truely at peace with his surroundings, being still and savouring every moment. 10.01.2022 This week I have been puppy sitting this little guy while his family holiday in Queensland. Jaxon is a 6 month old Pug X Labrador with a lot of character. He chases my pups around all day and gives them a run for their money and he is also full of love to give! He follows my pups around and gives them kisses and cuddles. I had the pleasure of taking his adoption photos several months back in the hopes that he would find his forever home. ... And guess what?! He did!! Tonka went to the best home possible all the way in Tasmania and is now running with the Husky Journals pack! He is a becoming a star sled dog and even won his first race! It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside to know I got to help find him his home. 06.01.2022 Ioula here is one of the very talented doggy models we had at #Barkjour in France and the first #schapendoes I have ever met! Under all that awesome fur is a star agility dog with many tricks up her paws! I remember watching Ioula and her human Patricia practice an array of tricks, Ioula was so attentive and happy to please and always looked to her mumma for the next command and of course those yummy treats! Their connection and partnership was something so beautiful to witn...ess, I could feel the love seeping out of them! They will standby each other for life. 05.01.2022 The heat in the Gold Coast is reminding me of the lovely days spent in France, lapping up their summer days and photographing gorgeous French puppies like Lady Boulette here! Her name translates to Lady Meatball! She is a Francais Bouledogue! This little miss had so much sass and knew exactly what she was there for! 04.01.2022 I know it’s a little late but better late then never right?! Here is my 2017 top 9! I am so grateful to each and every one of you for your support, likes and shares last year. 2017 was a big one for me personally with a lot of things going on, we moved several times, even to a whole other state! It’s safe to say things were hectic and because of that Happy Flying Dog Photography was a little slow last year but we have moved into our own home and things are settling just how... they should ready for a huge 2018! I met some amazing doggies and people last year and was so blessed to be able to go to France and attend barkjour! I learnt so much and was surrounded by my pet photography idols! It’s an experience that still has me lost for words it was so beyond amazing. 2018 has been full of new puppies from day 1 and I hope the rest of the year stays that way! 01.01.2022 Missing my adventures in France more and more each day! The amazing sites and architecture were like nothing I had ever seen before, I think I have said that a gazillion times but it's true! Only in my dreams could I picture something so magical! The Pont du Gard, an ancient Roman aqueduct was one of my favourite shooting locations from #barkjour - I couldn't believe I was there to do what I love most; photograph puppies! I still wonder sometimes if that trip was real .. so ...many surreal places and situations! This here is Rusty! A seven year old Cairn Terrier. He strutted his stuff atop the aqueduct like a pro! Head tilts and awesome hair! The makings of an amazing model, and that was!

01.01.2022 Here is the final edit from the other day. I really appreciate everyone's input and the suggestions you all gave me for the photo! I went with the darker one and lightened up the face a little. I'll probably do a lighter version as well down the track. Janga was our last model from my time at #barkjour and one of my favourites. There was just something about this dog, his eyes and his soul were just so beautiful. He was so loyal and graceful and just wanted to please, and th...at he did! He was a wonderful model. The walls of the amazing eleventh century castle were really incredible, thick, cold stone that reminded me of ancient times. His majesty Janga with the amazing French light falling around him, keeping watch of his family close by. I was so lucky to have this amazing experience and be around fellow pet photographers in a beautiful city.
