An upcoming event and you need help with planning or on the day, or some atmosphere music. The last minute help with the kids when something comes up. A busy week and no time to organise. A spring clean. An event you want a host for. Combining my love for kids and helping people, with my experience with cleaning and organising, I have developed this page to assist people all ...over the Shire & greater Sydney with a helping hand. Happy Helpers is run by me, the Jane of all trades: an experienced cleaner, organiser, nanny and entertainer. 20.01.2022 Stroke has a new indicator! They say if you forward this to ten people, you stand a chance of saving one life. Will you send this along? Blood Clots/Stroke - They Now Have a Fourth Indicator, the Tongue: During a BBQ, a woman stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) ...she said she had just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes. They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. While she appeared... a bit shaken up, Jane went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening. Jane's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00 PM Jane passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Jane would be with us today. Some don't die. They end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead. It only takes a minute to read this. A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke! He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough. RECOGNIZING A STROKE Thank God for the sense to remember the '3' steps, STR. Read and Learn! Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke. Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions: S *Ask the individual to SMILE. T *Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently) (i.e. Chicken Soup) R *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS. If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call emergency number immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher. New Sign of a Stroke -------- Stick out Your Tongue NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out his tongue. If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other that is also an indication of a stroke. A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to 10 people; you can bet that at least one life will be saved. I have done my part. Will you?

20.01.2022 Love this winter goodness Lots of veggies, noodles & just pour hot water over when you want to eat it. I also put coriander in it to add to the flavour & makes it a fresh winter meal.

13.01.2022 Did you know? The Benefits of Flour Interesting story I got sent via email. Some time ago, I was cooking some corn and stuck my fork in the boiling water to see if the corn was ready. I missed and my hand went into the boiling water....!! ... A friend of mine, who was a Vietnam vet, came into the house, as I was screaming, and asked me if I had some plain old flour... I pulled out a bag and he stuck my hand in it. He told me to keep my hand in the flour for 10 minutes. He said, in Vietnam, there was a guy on fire and in their panic, they threw a bag of flour all over him to put the fire out...Well, it not only put the fire out, but he never even had a blister!!!! ... Long story short, I put my hand in the bag of flour for 10 mins, pulled it out and did not even have a red mark or a blister and absolutely NO PAIN. Now, I keep a bag of flour in the fridge and every time I burn myself. Cold flour feels even better than room temperature flour. I use the flour and have never ever had even a red spot/burn mark, or a blister! I even burnt my tongue once, put the flour on it for about 10 minutes .... the pain was gone and no burn. Try it . . . Experience a miracle! Keep a bag of flour in your fridge and you will be happy you did! Flour has heat absorbent property and also has a strong antioxidant property, thus it helps in burn patients if applied within 15 minutes. 12.01.2022 Just a little reminder its that time again - i tend to do this every 6 months or so and its been that long since i last posted it! Dont neglect cleaning your w...ashing machine, its simple 2 tablespoons of bi-carb soda (in the washing powder drawer) and half a cup of white vinegar (inside the drum) - put your washing machine on a hot wash. This will get rid of all that soap build up! EASY - share this so you dont forget!! See more

06.01.2022 Cheap is not always best.. A lady contacted me in a panic. Her cleaner had changed the time on her 4 times & eventually cancelled 1/2 hour before she was due to go. This cleaner was charging way below the average price for an end of lease clean, and now we know why. Cheap is not always best. You can always get someone cheaper, but is it worth the pain & time it takes? Just a thought this Friday afternoon as I busy myself cleaning. You always get what you pay for. Its always better to go with experience. #cleaning #HappyHelpers
