25.01.2022 'We're going on an egg hunt, we're going to get the biggest one'.... We had so much fun today retelling our story as we went searching for some chocolate eggs. The best part was getting to eat our eggs. Yum!! Don't forget to show us some pictures of what your children got up to during their egg hunt.... 22.01.2022 Attention Families: Due to catastrophic fire danger warnings for today, Happy Little Butterfly will be putting into effect our Bushfire action plan and educators will vigilantly monitor conditions and warnings posted by the NSW Rural Fire Service. We strongly encourage our family members to do the same and to ensure your contact details with us are up to date and any asthma medications are in date and available for your child at the service.

22.01.2022 We had an EASTERful day yesterday! The children began the day with an Easter hunt. They worked so well together to find all the chocolate eggs that the Easter bunny had hidden in our playground.

21.01.2022 It was a sad day today as we said goodbye to Miss Cayley We wish her all the very best as she takes on the next phase of her career. We are forever grateful for her hard work, dedication and everything that she has done for us, especially with the children at Happy Little Butterfly. We are all going to miss her!

21.01.2022 Our friends at Happy Little Butterfly showed our respects today to commemorate Anzac Day with the reading of the Ode and The Last Post. We also made some Anazac biscuits which the children really enjoyed making.

21.01.2022 Day two of our Book week adventure entailed ‘The Cat in the Hat’ with a few ‘Things’ lurking around, joined by a giant dinosaur that was making an appearance with so many more superheroes.

20.01.2022 Attention Parents, Our Easter hat parade will begin at 3:00pm this afternoon. All parents and children are welcome to attend. Miss Pania is now on maternity leave. We wish her health and happiness during her break and are looking forward to meeting the new bub soon. ... We will be closed for the Easter long weekend, including Friday the 19th and Monday the 22nd of April and ANZAC Day, Thursday the 25th of April. We will be open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday next week. Wishing you all a happy and safe long weekend :)

17.01.2022 Dear Parents, Just a reminder that Happy Little Butterfly will be closed on Monday the 7th of October for the long weekend. We hope you all have a wonderful and safe time with your family and friends.

17.01.2022 On Friday the 1st of November, Happy Little Butterfly will be having a Halloween Party from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and we welcome all of our families to attend, even children who may not attend on this day (If supervised by a parent or guardian). We will have some activities set up for the children, dancing and light refreshments will be provided.

17.01.2022 Children are able to explore many cognitive concepts through their play and creative explorations. Howard Gardener (Early Childhood Theorist) saw the arts and creativity as playing major roles in childrens learning. Our friends have enjoyed exploring the arts, engaging in many painting experiences, based on their curiosity and imagination about the environment.... 14.01.2022 A big thank you to our Happy Little Butterfly family for their participation in our Pyjama Week. We had lots of fun playing games, eating popcorn and watching movies. We have raised $70 which we will match and donate towards the Pyjama Foundation to help children in foster care.

13.01.2022 Attention Parents, tomorrow morning at 9:30am we will be having a visit from the RSPCA who will be coming to teach the children in the older room how to interact with dogs safely. We are accepting donations of either a gold coin or any old towels and blankets to pass onto the RSPCA to help them care for animals in need. On Friday the 23rd of August, We will be having school photo day. If you havent received your photo envelope, please see an educator to receive it. Photos will begin at 8:30am, but if your child is attending the service for photos only and not regular daycare, please arrive at 9:30am as we will do these photos just before the group photos. Please make sure your photo money is in ASAP. :)

13.01.2022 Attention parents: Our Easter Egg Hunt packages are ready for parents to pick up today between 3pm and 5pm for all those children who will not be at preschool tomorrow or have been at home due to the current health situation.

11.01.2022 Happy Little Butterfly will be having Book Week from the 2nd of September to the 6th. The theme for this years Book Week is Reading is my secret power. Throughout the week we will be engaging in stories relating to this theme and encourage the children to dress up as their favourite fictional characters from books.

08.01.2022 We started off Book Week with a sprinkle of magic as our educators dressed up in ‘Harry Potter’ joined by lots of superheroes and characters from our favourite fairy tales. The children have enjoyed exploring a range of different stories, thanks to our children for bringing them in.

07.01.2022 Attention parents, our Christmas party and graduation will be held on Friday the 13th of December at Happy Little Butterfly And will be commencing at 6pm. It is imperative that all graduating children arrive by 6 in order to get ready for the graduation ceremony. We welcome all families to this event and hope to see you all there. From next week, we will be handing out new enrolment forms for 2020 for all of our families returning next year to fill out and returned by the 13th of December (The date of our Christmas Party). You will also be sent invoices dated up until the end of the year and all accounts will need to be settled by this date also. We hope you have a lovely weekend

07.01.2022 Dear Parents, We at Happy Little Butterfly have been devastated by the news of the bushfires that have been sweeping across the country over the past few months and understand that the drought and fires will continue for some time. Today the children were collecting burnt leaves they were finding around the yard and expressed curiosity about the current situation. We brainstormed ways to do our part during this drought and fire season and will be raising money that will be donated directly to the Rural Fire Service to support the amazing work they are doing for all of us. The children are really excited to be able to take part in this initiative and we look forward to your support.

04.01.2022 Dear Families, Don't forget we'll be celebrating book week from Monday 19th to Friday 23rd October. Children can dress up in their favourite characters and bring in some stories to share with their friends. We can't wait!!!

04.01.2022 Last week on Friday we raised much needed funds for childhood genetic diseases. The children had so much fun decorating the jeans with paint, glitter and coloured markers. We also got to make some slime which the children really enjoyed. ... A big thank you to all our children and families for taking part.

02.01.2022 Attention families, on Friday the 10th of May we will be having a Mothers Day afternoon tea at the service between 3:30pm and 4:30pm. We welcome all of our mums and grandmothers to join us for some light refreshments, activities with the children and a raffle to win a basket of goodies and raise money for the National Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Happy Little Butterfly will double the money raised to support the cause. We hope to see you there :)

The children really enjoyed the visit and loved engaging in the activities she brought in for them. 01.01.2022 We celebrated Harmony Day today which acknowledges inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians regardless of their cultural background. Today our friends dressed in some traditional clothes, engaged in cooking experiences and did some handprints symbolizing how each hand is different in colour but we're all the same. It was a great opportunity for the children to learn about diversity and ways we can help others feel loved.
