25.01.2022 Nat Cook MP dropped off some bags of duck food to our centre last week for families to enjoy a free activity to feed the local ducks! If you would like a bag of duck food they are located in the foyer and a few bags are on our community grow cart. We would love to see photos of your family enjoying feeding the ducks! Remember to not feed ducks bread as it has no nutritional value for them.

24.01.2022 Check out our renovations! We have had a busy time recently doing some much needed upgrades to our Centre, both inside and outside. The Reception area looks amazing thanks to Peppertree Furniture at Lonsdale. ... The Educators are loving the new and improved programming room and we have new blinds installed on all window thanks to Distinctive Blinds. All of the outdoor play spaces have been revamped and improved thanks to Adelaide Landscaping and Property Maintenance and our Groundsman Jarrod. Earlier this year we installed new sunshades to each play space thanks to Weathersafe Shades.

22.01.2022 Hi everyone! We are currently running a fundraiser for Fathers Day 2020! We are selling funky socks in adult and childrens sizes for $5.00 per pair. These funds will go towards purchasing new resources for the children at our Centre. Please come and see admin if you would like to buy a pair. Thank you everyone for your community support. HVCCC

22.01.2022 Once Again we are participating in the People's Choice Community Lottery to raise funds for resources for the children. This year it is all online, no raffle books for families to sell. Just click on the link which will take you directly to our fundraising page, then purchase your desired amount of tickets. Tickets are just $2 each and 100% of sales goes to our Centre. 22.01.2022 Thank you to all of the Children and Educators for their participation in Bookweek 2020! We had lots of curious creatures come and join us and the children enjoyed reading all of the different books that were brought in too. We all cannot wait to see who joins us next year for Bookweek 2021!

08.01.2022 2020/21 Entertainment Books are now available to purchase. To support Happy Valley Community Children's Centre please follow the link below. $14.00 from every book sold will go towards purchasing resources for our children. Memberships have changed this year, in that there is no longer a printed copy. All memberships are digital, with new offers being added weekly. There is also an option to purchase a multi-city membership.... Memberships are now valid for 12 months from the date of activation with an added bonus of 2 extra months. 01.01.2022 There has been an increase in viral gastroenteritis (gastro) in childcare centres recently. Gastro is a common illness which can be more serious for young child...ren, older people and people with pre-existing conditions. Gastro is highly infectious, but you can help stop the spread by following these tips: Keep children at home while unwell. Children should not return to childcare until no diarrhoea or vomiting for 48 hours. Avoid preparing food for others for at least 24 hours if you have been sick. Wash hands with soap and running water. Wipe down surfaces. Seek medical advice if you are concerned or there are signs of dehydration, fever, severe abdominal pain or bloody diarrhoea.
