25.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE: Gladstone Hospital will open a drive-though COVID-19 testing clinic at the Palm Drive/Blain Drive Sporting complex from 6.30am to 6pm Tuesday 3...0 March. The Gladstone Hospital COVID-19 testing clinic will not be operational while the drive through clinic is open. You are encouraged to make a booking by calling 4920 5800 (6am to 8pm). If you can not get through, please be patient and keep trying. The volume of calls has caused disruption to our telephone system across Central Queensland just as the volume has caused disruption across the Greater Brisbane area. Also be aware that there are visitor restrictions in place for aged care, hospitals, disability care and prisons. As more information becomes available, the Queensland Health website (www.health.qld.gov.au) will be updated, including extensive question and answers.

We are happy to help provide COVID-19 immunisation for our local area. To find out when you are eligible to receive the vaccine, visit https://covidvaccine.healthdirect.gov.au/eligibility and complete the COVID-19 Vaccine Eligibility Checker. This will tell you which phase of the rollout you are in.... Please do not come to your vaccination appointment: if you are feeling unwell with fever, cough, runny nose or other symptoms that could be from COVID-19 if you are waiting for COVID-19 test results, or have tested positive for COVID-19 if you are a close contact of someone with COVID-19, or if you are in quarantine. If you have had another vaccine in the 14 days before your COVID-19 vaccine appointment, please let us know as we may need to reschedule your appointment. If you cannot make it to your vaccination appointment, please contact us to arrange a new appointment. From Monday the 30th March Harbour City Family Practice will be taking extra steps to ensure the spread of the COVID-19 (corona virus) in the community is limited. These include :... Only essentials consultation will be held on site. We will be conducting phone and Telehealth / Skypes/ FaceTime appointments. These are all still bulk billed. If you have a temperature or cough or cold please stay at home and ring for a phone consult. All books and toys are all ready removed from the waiting room Chairs will be spaced at least a metre apart. Hand sanitizer will be available for patients to use upon arrival and please use before you leave to stop the transmission of the virus. Patients if you have even mild flu like symptoms please do not enter the surgery, call the surgery so we can further triage . We are doing our best in theses trying times.
