18.01.2022 Canola hunting in the #HilltopsRegion Did you know that canola takes almost all the nitrogen from the soil it grows on and because of this the soil needs to rest between crops? If you go canola field hunting bear in mind that you will never find canola planted on the same field two years in a row. If you are travelling through the Region to see our golden hills please remember;... Do not stop on a bend or a crest Pull your vehicle completely off the road in a safe location Never enter private property or walk through crops, if you venture in you may damage or introduce pests to the crop. Plus you will be trespassing - let’s remember that this is someone’s livelihood you are stomping on. 14.01.2022 We unpacked our kites today! The wind wasn’t great for kite flying but we soon discovered running was almost as good! Charlie, Makayla and Norah received placings in the Harden Festival kite colouring competition. Everyone who entered received a kite for participation.
