24.01.2022 World Holy Name Festival

24.01.2022 The GBC Strategic Planning Team has extended their invitation to every ISKCON devotees to celebrate the month of Kartika together: Let’s not let the important restrictions due to Covid-19 get in the way of us having a wonderful Kartika! In the Nectar of Devotion, Srila Prabhupada writes: One of the most important of these ceremonial functions is called Urja-vrata. Urja-vrata is observed in the month of Kartika; especially in Vindavana, there is a specific program for temp...le worship of the Lord in His Damodara form. While most of us will miss out on being in Vrindavan and some of us won’t even be able to visit our local temple, we can still take advantage of the opportunity for rapid spiritual advancement offered during the month of Kartika! The GBC’s Strategic Planning Team (SPT) will bring to you an Online Kartika Celebration that will take you on a trip to Sri Vrindavan Dham with some of ISKCON's most engaging speakers. This is an incredible opportunity for virtual association. The event will be broadcasted in our Facebook page and Youtube Channel from the 31st of October to the 29th of November. We have never faced such a situation before where devotees can’t physically visit Vrindavan in the month of Kartika, hence we thought if the devotees can't come to the Dham, we should take the Dham to them! So in addition to continuing our various posting that are relevant to ISKCON devotees, we bring you our Kartika Celebration. Our speakers include Bhakti Chaitanya Swami, Bhakti Dhira Damodara Swami, Jagattarini Devi Dasi, Sitala Devi Dasi, Gauranga Das, Nitai Sevini Devi Dasi, Sri Gauranga Das and many more. We will hear the glories of Vrindavan Dham, go virtually on Govardhan Parikrama, learn about the ABCDE Guide to Bhakti, and continue our series on Srila Prabhupada- the Pre-eminent Siksa-Guru. With the GBC-SPT, you're assured to get a daily dose of spiritual inspiration throughout the month of Kartika. You're invited to join us on a journey to usher Vrindavan into our hearts starting on the 31st of October with the ISKCON GBC SPT.

22.01.2022 Kartik Activities. & Vrata Kartika month is the most important month in our calendar, as it is very dear to Sri Sri Radha-Madhava. Just as there is no yuga equal to Satya-yuga, no scripture equal to the Vedas, and no place of pilgrimage equal to the Ganges, so there is no month equal to Kartika. During the Kartika month, millions of devotees worship Damodara Krishna with ghee lamps and devotional bhajans, glorifying His playful childhood pastime of stealing yogurt. 13.01.2022 ISKCON Cultural Center to Open in Varanasi By: ISKCON VARANASI on Oct. 29, 2020 Since past few years ISKCON has had a small temple in the heart of Varanasi, in Bhelupur and now the temple is expanding and evolving into the impressive ‘Sri Sri Radha Gopal Mandir Vedic Indian Cultural Center’ (VICC). The talented young devotees’ ensemble of the Temple envisions making ISKCON VICC the most attractive place in Varanasi succeeding the popular Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the Ghats ...of River Ganga. VICC aspires to become a source of enlightenment for spiritual seekers and a cultural symposium for tourists to cherish the rich Indian heritage. Acyuta Mohan Das, Chairman ISKCON Varanasi commented, ‘It’ll be an effort to present the traditional values and culture of Vedic India through modern means and help holistic development of the society.’ VICC was inaugurated on Radhastami this year during the Annual Anniversary Celebrations of ISKCON Varanasi temple. The Chief Architect Anup Sahni, CEO Ellypsium Architects promised to complete the project by Summer 2023, which will make ISKCON Varanasi VICC the second grand temple in Uttar Pradesh, India, after ISKCON Kanpur Temple. VICC will provide an array of facilities, starting from yoga to accommodation for guests and students to auditoriums to three seminar halls, and an ayurvedic spa. The well-established ISKCON Bhagavat Vidyapith of Govardhan, India, will be an integral part of VICC, offering enlightening courses on Srimad Bhagavatam, Bhagavad Gita, Puranas, Upanisadas, Caitanya Caritamrta, and many other scriptures. There’ll be qualified teachers from around the world. In the seminar halls, the tourists will get a sneak peek into the rich Vedic Culture through video projections, dances, music, theatrics, etc. The architectural style of the VICC temple will reflect that of Royal Jaipur Palace, hence it’ll be a palatial monument, where more than 250 devotees and guests can take Darshan of the deities, attend kathas and Kirtans. Alongside the temple, there’ll be two banquet halls dedicated to cultural and corporate events, and a Matchless Gift Shop with all the spiritual paraphernalia. The devotees will be doing regular Food for Life program. An ISKCON temple is incomplete without a Govinda’s Restaurant, hence VICC will have one too. ISKCON Varanasi Chairman, Acyuta Mohan Das remarked, ‘The land our temple is standing on was donated by the iconic Dabur Family in the memory of their spiritual master Sri Acyutananda Maharaj, which now, with everyone’s grace is being transformed into an mega ISKCON tourism project.’ The temple committee is asking devotees from all over the world to bless them and support them to realize the project and fulfill Srila Prabhupada’s mission in the holy land of Kashi, now known as Varanasi. * * * Please visit www.iskconvaranasi.com to know more and become part of this project. 13.01.2022 2020 ISKCON’s Annual Vraj Mandal Parikrama will not be commenced Oct.9, 2020 Dear most respected devotees,... Please accept my most humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. I am writing on behalf of ISKCON Vraj Mandal Parikrama managing team which has the blessings and guidance from His Holiness Lokanath Swami. Due to the corona virus spread, this year, 2020 ISKCON’s Annual Vraj Mandal Parikrama will not be commenced. We approached and consulted many senior members and leaders of ISKCON, and most of them have instructed us not to have Vraj Mandal Parikrama this year. Out of respect for the leading Vaisnava of our society, International Society for Krsna Consciousness and our lovingly concern for your health plus due to fear of corona virus, with a heavy heart, I beg to inform you all that we will not be able to serve your feet this year in Vrindavan. However, we will be eagerly looking forward to serve your feet to the best of our ability under circumstances next year 2021. We regret our misfortune of being bereft/ deprived of serving your worshipful holy feet this year in Vraj. With all humility in our command we request you all please remain wherever you are and protect yourselves from this deadly virus. On behalf of all of you, a couple of devotees will walk on 84 Kos Parikrama Marg just to keep the tradition unbroken and intact. Most likely the number of walking devotees will be two or three maximum. 2020 marks ISKCON’s 34th Annual Vraj Mandal Parikrama We hope, by the causeless mercy of Krsna, you are in the best condition of your health and Krsna consciousness as well I beg to remain Your servant Radha Raman Swami

05.01.2022 Dear Devotees, It is with agonizing sorrow, that today 24th of October 2020 marks the disappearance of Srila Prabhupada's dear disciple and an exemplary Vaisnav...a, Jasomatinandana Das from this world. He joined ISKCON in America, where Srila Prabhupada instructed him to develop the Krishna Consciousness Movement in Gujarat, India. Thus he pioneered the ISKCON movement in Gujarat. He was the President of ISKCON Ahmedabad and the Regional Secretary of Gujarat. His contributions are unfathomable. For past few years, Prabhu had not been keeping well and around a couple of weeks ago, Covid19 struck him and he got admitted to the hospital, where he ultimately left us. He had supervised the translation of almost all of Srila Prabhupada's books into Gujarati language. Being Srila Prabhupada's spiritual warrior, he distributed books with utmost dedication to please Srila Prabhupada. Jasomatinandana Prabhu will be remembered as the most lovable, sweet and sincere devotee who dedicated his life to Srila Prabhupada and his mission. The GBC Strategic Planning Team pays heartfelt respects to this incredible devotee of the Lord and prays he attains the eternal association and service of Srila Prabhupada and Sri Sri Radha Govindaji Hare Krishna

03.01.2022 Wishing everyone a very happy Janmastami. Janmastami is the yearly observance of Krishna's appearance on earth. It is one of the world's most widely observed spiritual festivals. Krishna's "birth," janma, occurred at midnight on ashtami, the eighth day after the full moon in the Vedic calendar. Krishna's appearance is significant on many levels, and is something of a paradox. He's the beginningless Supreme Person, eternally existing everywhere at all times. He isn't "born" li...ke we're areforced by karma into a succession of material bodies. Krishna appears in His same permanent, spiritual form whenever and wherever He likes. When He does appear, He chooses His devotees to play the roles of His father and mother. He Himself plays the role of their child, and acts like a human being, while also performing superhuman activities that are impossible for anyone else to imitate.
