22.01.2022 The new Community Sports Pavilion for the City of Whittlesea and designed by Harmer Architecture was finished early this year just prior to the Covid-19 outbreak. The pavilion located in Harvest Home Road Epping North just near the new Lyndarum Shopping Centre, is however a great new landmark on the fringe of the city. When open for use, the HHR Pavilion will be used extensively by soccer and cricket clubs and a wide range of other community groups.... We were delighted to work with council and community organizations to get the project off the ground and congratulate the builders @harris_hmc for a great job. #Sports #pavilion #community #architecture

21.01.2022 Harmer Architecture’s Atrium of Holy Angels Mausoleum (2017) is part of the ongoing transformation of Victoria’s Fawkner Memorial Park. The design team explains that the concept and design celebrate a centuries-old tradition of arranging places for burial into a circle. The mausoleum is open and accessible from eight different points of the compass, and these axes provide dramatic framed views of the landscape from within the new central courtyard and of the courtyard from the perimeter of the building. It is both a final resting place and a sanctuary for the living: a welcoming place where families can honour their dead. #harmerarchitecture #atriumofholyangels #architecture_australia

11.01.2022 Harmer Architecture has been appointed by Court Services Victoria to undertake a fitout of an existing office building into a new VCAT facility in Oakleigh, Melbourne. The venue is due to be opened soon in February. The venue is first of its kind in Victoria and is aim is to create the kind of spaces where people are made to feel welcome and less formal than a courthouse. We worked closely with VCAT and Court Services Victoria to create a human centred design, creating an env...ironment that is centred around a positive visitor experience and an efficient and safe working environment for staff. This is part of a strategic plan to establish several dedicated VCAT venues in metropolitan Melbourne and we are excited to be a part of this journey and hope the new venue will improve access to justice for the local community. "Terracotta tiles have been a popular roofing choice in Australia since the 19th century, but here they are used to clad external walls.
