21.01.2022 A helpful Q & A regarding what to be aware of in terms of our mental health during the current lock-down. Hartington Centre would like to remind you that throughout this period we have remained open with our practitioners working on or off site in a combination of face-to-face and virtual consults. Please note that reception is available 10am-3pm Mon-Sat and our staff welcome your questions about safety and hygiene practices at the Centre. They can also offer you a list of counsellors who currently have space for new clients; make bookings on your behalf, etc. Outside of these hours our Call Centre will pass on your messages to the relevant practitioners. Stay safe

20.01.2022 How to help our children, grandchildren, nieces & nephews from going stir crazy during shut-down (and you, their parents and carers by extension): suggest to them that they hand write letters to their friends and loved ones. And to YOU. Many kids will never have written a letter. It's the old-fashioned way, and a bit of time out from their screens. They can get creative. Once they've sent a bunch of letters, a week or so later they'll start receiving letters, and the momentum will build traction. They'll thrill at opening the letterbox and finding a letter addressed to them.

05.01.2022 Dear valued clients and friends of Hartington, We are reaching out to you in this time of upheaval, turmoil and mass anxiety to let you know that the Hartington Centre is still here and that we are as strong as ever. You can be assured that we have implemented stringent hygiene protocols: we are asking all visitors upon entry to the centre to wash their hands in warm soapy water; we diligently clean surfaces; we maintain respectful physical distance with each other and with ...our clients; we offer paper cups (but suggest that you bring your own glass or cup to your appointment), and so on. With the need to exercise 'social isolation' many practitioners are now geared up to offer the option of online videos sessions with their clients. Feel free to discuss this option with your practitioner. We understand that the idea of a video session via Skype or Zoom or one of the other platforms might seem a little daunting and /or impersonal. But those of us who already conduct online sessions for clients who are unable to attend in person, will agree that it's a medium that works extremely well. So with that in mind, we wish you well. Take good care Julie Twohig

02.01.2022 A special note to our valued clients and friends of Hartington: We reach out to you at this time of upheaval, turmoil, and mass anxiety to let you know that Hartington is definitely still in business albeit most of our practitioners are conducting sessions online. This means we are ‘here,’ and that our presence is more needed now than ever.... We understand that the concept of a video session via Skype or Zoom or one another platform might seem a little daunting and /or impersonal at first. But those of us who have been conducting online sessions for some time now will agree that it’s a medium that is surprisingly effective. Team Hartington wish you well.
