24.01.2022 SPORTING CLAY NATIONALS - BRISBANE - OCTOBER DATE CANCELLED - Sorry Folks but we tried to keep the event alive for October but we have run out of time with goo...d news. When the Covid-19 situation was reviewed a month ago the country seemed to be getting it together & it looked hopeful that we would all be Australians again with free travel between the States happening in August,. Our earlier optimism has been deflated with the worsening conditions in Victoria & also NSW with further lock downs as more people are being infected with a second wave of Covid-19. The news is the lock downs will be here until Christmas at least. This news along with the other states in Australia in either keeping their borders closed down or stopping travel interstate for the remaining States makes the process untenable. Sad we know, but this Covid-19 problem is out of our control and unfortunately we are all passengers along for the ride. We will keep you informed as and when we receive further news.

22.01.2022 G’day Shooters Following some questions and feedback from members at SQ2 held at Wanneroo on June 28th I would like to clear up a few points regarding Hasting Sporting Clays (formerly Wannamal Sporting Clays ) Covid 19 and border restrictions have definitely put a dent in out preparations just like everyone else BUT Hastings are up and running and will commence shooting as per the calendar on July 12th .... The 1st event will be a 100 tgt compak club event shot over 2 grounds. Start Time is 0900am Cost is $65 Canteen will be in operation. Canteen will be providing a pasta bake meal for Saturday night (July 11th) at a cost of $10 per head. All phase 4 Covid 19 restrictions are in place and will be followed We are strongly encouraging pre Nomination via the weblink and this will be available later this week but we will take nominations on the day if required If your camping and want dinner please select these options at time of check in on pre nom so we have an idea for catering or notify Carrie or myself if you’re not using online noms Camping is available at the grounds for the WHOLE of any event weekend and is free of charge. There will be no power provided for the campers but your welcome to use your own (quiet) gensets until 10pm, Toilets are operational, At this stage there is only 1 shower in operation but this will be rectified in time for the state titles in August. Dogs are not allowed on the grounds under any circumstances, not even if they are kept at or in the car. If you do arrive with a dog you WILL be requested to leave. Individual camp fires are not permitted, there will be a communal fire located at the clubhouse. and for the bigger events there MAY be additional fire located in the camping area (at HSC’s discretion only). All events moving forward will be as per the published calendar or subject to agreed variations. We would welcome help to set up on Saturday July 11th. We plan to run a walk through practise event for couple of hours starting approx. 1430 Saturday afternoon for anyone keen Wandering Boddington Clay Target Club (WBCTC) has an event on Saturday July 11 if you want to make a weekend of it and is located 23km away Where are we, and how do you get there? Our Address is 282 O’Leary Road Hastings 6308 (97km from Armadale). Head south on Albany Hwy to North Bannister roadhouse..68km from the intersection of South West Highway and Albany Highway. After the tavern turn left toward Wandering and travel 9km. Turn left on Ricks road and travel 17km (This is dirt road). Turn Left on O’Leary Road and travel 3km..Be careful of the crest and right hand bend 1.5km from the start of O’Leary road (this is dirt road). Congratulations!!! You have arrived. Free camping available all weekend, no power in campsites, Full canteen providing Breakast ,Lunch, Dinner plus all the snacks in between, Hot Showers, Famous Hospitality, Geat Meals and Big Camp Fires.... Dinner available Friday and Saturday night and if your really lucky perhaps even a sparkle show from Wildman. 13.01.2022 We have a busy bee on this Sunday August 9th, our last chance to get those last little jobs done before SQ4 and the State Title the following weekend. If you have some time to spare we can find something to keep you occupied for a couple of hours . Lunch will be supplied....Look forward to seeing you there

12.01.2022 ALRIGHT FOLKS - The time has come for some fun to be had at the new ground!!! This Sunday, we have a 100 Compak event over 2 grounds. Cost is $65. Starting at 9AM. IF you are camping or keen to come down on the Saturday, we have opened a ground for practice Saturday afternoon for $10 per round of 25 (5 stand style).... The cold weather is perfect for a spot of red and a bowl of pasta so for the campers bracing the cold on the Saturday night, Coops will be cranking up the new kitchen to make a pasta bake for $10. 04.01.2022 Thanks to all the brave souls that turned up to support Hasting Sporting Clays yesterday, the weather was wet, cold and bloody windy, Local rumour has that this is character building Thanks to the set up and pack teams, the canteen staff , the office staff , the wood cutters and the fire stokers, without your efforts we don’t have a shoot or a club, Special thanks to Gingin Speckle Park Stud for supplying the beef for our spit on Saturday Night, We were certainly not left... wanting. We had 24 shooters attend on Sunday and the winners were High Gun Tony Trainor (87) on a countback from Maria 1st A Grade Maria Dunnett 1st B Grade Brendan Karow 1st C Grade Murry Cornish Look forward to seeing you all next time on October 18th
