25.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who entered the training day last night. It was great to see how keen everyone was with some classes filling within 15 minutes! If you've entered and need to scratch, please email [email protected] as soon as possible. If you're on the waiting list, we'll be in touch if a spot becomes available. Going forward, it's looking promising for us to be able to increase group sizes and start up competitions again. More on that soon!

20.01.2022 COVID has had a huge effect on local sporting clubs. While competition ground to a halt for months, unfortunately for most sports clubs the bills kept coming in.... I’ve been catching up with members of local groups like Hawkesbury Riding Club and Windsor Wolves Rugby League Club to see how they’ve been getting on during the pandemic, and how they will move forward as we navigate the new normal. I was pleased to hear members are starting to get back into the swing of things, and it was great to see horses and riders back on the Clarendon grounds for Hawkesbury Riding Club’s Wednesday training. 19.01.2022 RIDER FALL CLINIC Saturday 17th April ENTRIES NOW OPEN on club website (non-members welcome)... The program is designed to train riders from all disciplines in the correct response action in order to minimize the risk of injuries during a fall or horse and/or rider. The sessions are taught by a gymnastics coach who has been delivering this program to many equestrian groups, including the thoroughbred racing industry for many years. It involves wearing casual comfortable clothing, jumping on trampolines, tumbling on gym mats, using a foam vaulting box and finally, when skills are in place, "riding" a mechanical horse ( as used by rodeo riders) surrounded by lots of crash mats. "Naughty Ned" is set to buck, spin, rear, to test your learnings. Limited numbers - maximum 24 spots at 8 per session. 9:30am / 11:30am / 1:30pm Early payment guarantees preferred time. $50 per member / $80 for non member. A copy of the form is available for download on the clubs website (www.hawkesburyridingclub.com.au/documents). In accordance with NSW Government COVID restrictions for Community Sport, you are NOT PERMITTED to attend if you have : Been in direct contact with a known case of COVID-19 in the past 14 days Return...ed from Victoria or overseas in the past 14 days Attended any of the reported case locations listed on the NSW Health website that require you to self-isolate. ( https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/latest-news-and-updates ). See image attached of current locations advised by NSW Health that require self isolation. We advise you to check the website prior to coming as the list is changing frequently. Sorry, spectators NOT permitted. Only riders who have pre-entered & a support person / organising committee / officials / volunteers will be allowed entry to the grounds. CANTEEN: A limited canteen will be operating, offering hot pies, sausage rolls, packets of sandwiches, snacks & drinks. 06.01.2022 The riding club hold the safety and wellbeing of our members & their families at the highest priority. Following recent government announcements, and Equestrian Australias recommendations we have made the decision to close our grounds and cancel or postpone all activities until further notice. This decision has not been made lightly, however has been made in the best interests of all of our members. Your understanding during this difficult time is appreciated.

03.01.2022 WE'RE GOING AHEAD WITH THE XC DAY! The HRC grounds have been inspected today. Jumping area has held up remarkably well. There are low lying water areas which will be trotting zones. This will be reassessed if more heavy rain arrives.... You ride at your own risk and we ask riders to respect all jump stewards. You will be eliminated for not following directions and the trotting zones. Draw to be sent out shortly. Stay Covid safe. Canteen will be available. And we have Photographer Ashleigh Truscott to capture you all in action! Jenny.
