24.01.2022 Haylee Makes Update . . . I am still taking orders as per normal, for now. I have stocked up on baking essentials for the next few weeks but due to the demand of ingredients such as flour, sugar & eggs, I cant guarantee that I will be able to accept every order.... 20.01.2022 Red velvet & chocolate cupcakes for Breast Cancer Awareness. These went to the Pindan Group for morning tea in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

19.01.2022 Chocolate Snap, Crackle, Crunch. GF, dairy free & vegan friendly 300g of 80% (at least) Dark Chocolate 3 cups GF Rice Puffs (found in health food section near cereals)... 1 cup Goji Berries 1 cup Pepitas (Pumpkin Seeds) 1/2 cup chopped Roasted Almonds 1 cup organic shredded or flaked Coconut 3 tblspns Rice malt syrup 3 tblspns Coconut oil Line a square 20cm x 20cm tin with baking paper. In a large bowl add the rice puffs, pepitas, almonds and coconut. Stir to combine. In a separate heat proof bowl, melt dark chocolate in the microwave or over hot steamy water. Once melted, add rice malt syrup and coconut oil and stir until mixed in well. Then add chocolate mix to dry ingredients. Add to tin and press down firmly with the back of a spoon. Optional - sprinkle extra goji berries, pepitas and coconut on top for presentation and extra crunch! Place in fridge for 1 hour or until set. Slice and enjoy! I bet you will eat more than 2 pieces

11.01.2022 Hiya If you dont know already, I am Haylee. Did you imagine someone brunette with small teeth? Sorry to disappoint + A bit of Haylee History + Baking & making sweet treats has been a love of mine since I was little. Both my Mother & Nannas (on both sides) were pastry chefs in my eyes and I wanted to make things just like them, even if it was only half as good. I loved every step from the preparation, to mixing & of course licking the bowl & beaters (if my brother didn...t beat me to it!) As a kid the taste of home made chocolate cake or eating Nannas scottish tablet was the highlight of my day. I wanted others to experience this by bringing back fond memories with that first, second & third bite. This is Haylee Makes. . As I entered my early twenties my passion for cake grew & I focused solely on cupcakes and the smile they instantly put on peoples faces. I started making cakes for work, family & friends until many said I should start my own thing. My hobby soon became a part time gig. I loved the challenge & my passion for baking only grew. . + Recent Times + Being a Mum of two busy kiddies it has been a juggle with orders, home & work life but I enjoy the juggle. Its not only my interest, it is my outlet. People often ask me how I have time to be a wife, mother, work part time, have a social life, do household chores, AND make cakes for other peoples events every weekend?? Put simply, I make time. It is what I enjoy & I love challenging myself with recipes, flavours and deadlines. I embrace all of the emotions baking & making brings to myself and to others. I am just so fortunate to have a supportive husband & family that encourage my work. . Haylee Makes is officially 7 years young and I couldnt be more proud. Over that time I havent swayed far from cakes until recently. For the past month I have been making slices & brownies for @paperavenuecafe which was the push I needed to get out of my comfort zone. 07.01.2022 Yesterday at work we celebrated four Birthdays which were over the past month We were able to celebrate them all together after weeks of being apart. Most of the team were also back working which was another big reason to celebrate!! I made vanilla cakes topped with twirls and cakes filled with lemon butter topped with lemon buttercream to mark the occasion
