25.01.2022 Sometimes love can get a little complicated.

25.01.2022 The activities you make time for have a big impact on your headspace. GET INTO LIFE AND DO THE STUFF YOU ENJOY! Doing ‘stuff’ matters espeically the stuff you enjoy or once did. So you should always make time for it. ... If you’re going through a difficult time, doing anything can seem like a lot of effort. And if you’re feeling low you may lose interest in things you once enjoyed. The key is to focus on doing even if you don’t want to or feel like it. 'doing stuff' can: give you a sense of achievement and purpose build your confidence lift your energy improve your motivation it can help get you out of a rut if you’re not feeling energised.

Art is a great way to bring out your creative side and exp...ress emotion, making it a healthy form of self-care, we encourage everyone to try it. If you are a young person in the Inala area or you attend our centre we would love to hear from you on what kind of group activities you would like to see us run at our centre? These activities are always free and all about promoting positive wellbeing. Send us a private message! #arttherapy #glen20 #headspace

17.01.2022 TIP FOR A HEALTHY HEADSPACE: GET ENOUGH SLEEP. Here are some expert tips on how you can improve your sleep quality and routine. Michael Gradisar is a sleep expert from the National Sleep Foundation. Here are his quick tips for improving your sleep.... At least an hour before bed, switch from video games, YouTube and social media to TV or watching a movie. Lower the brightness on your phone and computer screens at night. Some have features where you can automatically dim and change the colour of your screens to help you prepare for rest. If you find it hard to wind down, try a mindfulness exercise like one from the Smiling Mind app. Try to sleep the same amount every night. An extra hour, every now and then, is fine but any more can confuse your body clock. If you need to get up during the night try to avoid turning on bright lights and hop back into bed quickly. Avoid caffeine at least six hours before you go to bed. If you can, avoid napping during the day.

16.01.2022 Happy Monday! We hope you have a bear-y good week.

It's when anxiety becomes frequent or prevents you from doing things, that it might be time to reach out for some support. That support might be speaking with a trusted friend, engaging in some purposeful self-care, orrrrrr it could be us ... Remember, we've got your back. If our services are not suitable or the best for you, we will always point you to one that can.
