09.01.2022 Are you thinking of picking up a new hobby this year? Doing things you enjoy can boost your confidence and lift your mood, helping you keep a healthy headspace! We know that if you’re going through a difficult time it can feel like a lot of effort to do the things you once enjoyed, let alone pick up a new hobby! Here’s what the headspace experts say about how to get started at doing more ‘stuff’: Set small goals... Find activities you enjoy. If you’re going through a hard time, think back- what did you used to enjoy? When you think of an activity, make time for it. Look ahead at your week and block some time for it Persist! Even when you don’t feel like it Reflect on how the activity makes you feel. Did you enjoy it? Did you feel a sense of accomplishment? If you did, great! If you didn’t, that OK! You could try something else Be kind to yourself. Maybe you try a new hobby that you’re not great at straight away, but think of this as making time with yourself to learn and grow Visit headspace.org.au to learn more about getting in to life to keep your headspace healthy

01.01.2022 How can we shine a light on something that often goes unseen? How can we inspire a different conversation about youth mental health? headspace is proud to be involved in Visible, a creative collaboration between young Australians experiencing mental health challenges and artists. These partnerships have produced an insightful collection of creative expressions that aim to change how mental health is seen and spoken about across Australia.
